Plant just started flowering, am I fucked?

I have a plant growing in central Minnesota that just started flowering last Thursday the 10th. It started flowering late becuase I planted it late in the season, and it didn't develop the necessary hormones fast enough to start flowering on time. I wanted to keep it very small, it won't finish any taller than a foot, its just a hobby plant. It appears fairly indica dominant which should help, but its definately some sort of hybrid, not pure indy. Anyway, I did some searches on first fall frost dates for my area and found first frost generally arrives during the beginning of october. My plant will only be about 4 weeks into flower, am I fucked?

I plan on adding a large stone painted black near the plant, supposedly it stores heat from the sun during the day and releases that heat at night when the plant needs it most. Its supposed to act as a sort of buffer against the cold I guess. Will this be enough?

put 4ml clear plastic around it...... add a small circulating fan.... is it in the ground?

Yes its in the ground. The plastic may be too conspicuous for the spot I chose, but I could see how the greenhouse effect might help, interesting idea. Why would I place a circulating fan next to it outdoors?

Oh you mean to circulate the air when its under the plastic, I gotcha. The fan isn't practical though, its a very small plant so its not really neccessary, and I have no desire to mess with electricity outdoors exposed to the elements.

I feel like I'm missing something here, you have to forgive me I'm newer to outdoor growing...

OP - can you bring it inside? Same thing happened to me last year on my first outdoor grow. I pulled my plant right before halloween...prob 3 weeks too early...however I did cure it right and it wasnt too harsh smoking and actully wasn't too bad. Just keep chking the 10 day forcast and try if possible to leave them in the ground as long as you can, you'll be much happier with the end result.
