I matured 2 Hermies under a 400w HPS. I dont have any pics, but it basically had fully developed buds with many male flowers opening over the bud. I made alot of hash :D

sounds pretty good... why do people hate them???
I'd grow it out just out of curiosity.
Its a bit gutting when your great crop of sensi turns into seeded weed because its weaker and full of seed and those seeds will likely produce 90% hermies, this is why i only do it to males as when the males hermie they only produce male seeds which i can then use for pollen.

I have been doing it for years and i don't get hermie females and i get a low male ratio in the seed from the pollinated females,i have one old plant that is nearly 3 years old and ive budded it smoked it seeded it etc. many times and it still hasn't hermied out, shes currently budding for her last time and i pollinated some of her stems so shell give me some nice seed for the future as well as one last smoke:blsmoke:

good stuf. how come female hermies make hermie seeds and male hermies make male seeds?
Id assume that either plant only has one set of genes to pass on and that the females apparantly male sacks arent really male just pollen sacks made by a female and vice versa for the male:blsmoke:

here is when i discovered it was herms, later it was thrown out on the porch where my gf went and removed the plants sacs and left to continue vegging till our reg grow was done
below is how it is today literally, now its gonna be sleeping for 3 days see if anything better comes of it and then continue the harvest

will a hermie make another female hermie? I have one hermie and one female I dont want the hermie to make the other female hermie. CAn it? Snow white from NIrvana. So weird I cloned these two plants from the same mother, one turned out to me a girl one is hermie is this common?

fuck am so confused I cloned two girls off of one mother, the mother was eaten by my dog. Well one is hermie I could totally tell, the other has no signs whatsoever of being hermie how could this be. ONe looks like a female but on the bottom nodes she has a few nut sacs, the other doesnt even have one nutsac they are both about a week and a half into flowering. Nirvana snow white HElp please!!flowering under a 400 watt hps growlux bulb

did you veg the clones and if so for how long?
as so previously said in this thread, Hermies are produced from an unnatural change in their environment. Im not sure exactly what conditions provide for this. I know by personal experience that if a plant is being given enough light and you take enough light away that the plant will stay alive but do nothing more it will go herm.

vegged the clones for about 2 weeks under cfls, then switched them to 12 12 under the 400 hps. I just killed the hermie now only have one girl, I know shes not a hermie.

sometimes just a single branch turnes hermie... maybe that branch was your clone... hermies can also hapen because of inheritence. sO even if you didn't strees her it could happen.

here are the pics i have of 1 i grew lil bit back

beautiful buds mate but this is a classic example of light stress. see how far the nodes are apart? and by seeing that cfl Id say that the cfl was too far away causing the stretching and light stress

if that were the case both clones would be hermies

But I've had plants that will for aperently no reason have a single branch that is hermie. and I used it for a mother plant. all the daughters were female but I think that if I cloned that one branch it would have made a completely hermaphroditic plant.

not so. the reason that it wouldent work like this is because that entire plant has the same dna. even the branch that was a hermie....you cloned the plant but not on the hermie branch right? so if you cloned the hermie branch then it would have the same dna as the other clones. Why would those clones off that branch be hermie and the others not?
that individual branch received more stress than the rest of the plant.
