starting a continuous grow question

hellow fellows,

got a lowryder grow at 2/3 weeks goin on at 18-6. i would like to plant my 5 freebee anesthesia f-2 from sannie now. the 6 weeks it will take for the lowryder should be plenty of time for the anesthesia f-2 to germ and still be in veg. what do you think ??

i know i might be(lol i am moving way too fast for a noob) seeing as i am in the same place i was when i was in high school.....that is: i still had'nt even seen a 'females' privates yet...lol!!!!!

i have not worked in 6 months and funds are low. thank god for sites like rollitup!!! i don't know what i would do without my 'meds' that help me deal with my MEDS. so that is why i am looking for a continuous grow. thanks .

peace,
cheney

I would wait till about week 4 this will give the plants 2 week to germanate and get a good root system and another 2 week to get them under the hps lights so the plants will be ready to flower has soon has the other grow is done.

I was I stumbled upon your topic searching for another actually, I don't frequent this forum normally ;). I'm the breeder of Anesthesia. You need enough light if you want to veg them for 6 weeks. At 6 weeks, even keeping them close to the light, they are already quite big plants. A long veg is always nice if you have the space.

Personally I'm all for a long veg period, keeping them short, so the outer branches make it to the top easy. You don't even have to fim them if you can keep them short under blue light. Tip: We found out that covering the substrate with a little piece of b/w foil (white side up) is great for your substrate (keeps it humid) and keeps your plants small because of the reflection of the light from the bottom. Just remember they double in size flowering, even more if they have to compete hard on a small surface. And they really like their floorspace too :).

Good luck with the F2! Which pheno do you have? It's written on the bag (a number 5, 8 or 9). Would like to see more how these freebies work out. Thanks.

hello my friend small world.....since i got you for a minute i'm going to ask as many dumb questions as i can LOL!!!

i have 10 lowryder , 10 anesthesia , 5 anesthesia F2 x5

i started 5 lowryders about 3 weeks ago in one gallon pots with FFOS. all germ'd in 36hrs. one did'nt make it past first week. all under 260w cfl in a 49gallon tub . looks like a bathtub for mini-me..lol. equal number of 27k and 65k.

in the picture the plant in the round pot was started a few days b4 the rest. after a few watering mistakes getting nice growth and color.

i know everyone says to keep lights 1"/2" from tops but at this early stage some leaves were starting to curl into a 'canoe' shape. i raised the lights 8" and they relaxed.

assuming 1 or 2 of the lowryders are female i can take out the others. using square pots i'm going to start 4 of the freebees on week 5 of the lowryder grow. enough time to pull the lowryders before the anesthesia F2 really start growing. ohh i plan to go from 2'/3' foot height to 5" height in my grow-tub soon.

what do you think? i will log the anesthesia F2 when i start also. thanx again for dropping in very, very cool.

****please note i'm a noob lol

260 watt should be quite enough to pre-grow a few anesthesia's together with a lowryder ;). Do you use some forced ventilation under the lights? That takes away a lot of heat.

Also keep the humidity at good levels when you are growing close to the lights, those CFL's do get hot. What type of lights are you using? Tubes?

The F2-5 is can be a wild plant btw, if you want to flower under CFL I would certainly advise a scrog for the best yield. It's an ideal plant to scrog, good internode distances for it and not too many leafs. That's a bit hard to combine with two lowryders left under the light though.. You need to select the females before you start your scrog and it can take a while before they show gender. The plant is flexible enough to even start the scrog a bit later than the normal 4-5 week veg from cuttings though, LST is another nice way to do it under CFL.

Keep the young ones at the right level under the light by lifting the pots. I'd recommend using small containers first to create dense small plants, a bit like you see in the Anesthesia grow movie. Fim or top once for scrog if needed (at about the fifth or sixth node).

For a continuous grow however you need a veg and grow room. Try to select a good cutting from your favorite pheno as a mother.

Good luck!

HEY WAZZUP THANKS MAN!!!

thats very cool helpin out a noob w/ a small grow.

i'm going to wait n fix up my cab. b4 i plant my anesthf2 5 x5... i just want to get them right for sure. i'm going to grow under a full spectrum that is both 27k n 65k at the same time all the time .

Q: i've read that you can't SCROG with seeds that it's to much trouble to pull the males from a screen etc. sorry forgot where i read that....is that true???? i was planning to LST instead.

thanx again bro peace

you can scrog with seeds, fem seeds would be best though. pulling males out will suck.. best to use clones and be sure. personally i LOVE CLONES. i recently got my technique down. was about 80% last time i clones and i took some REALLY small branches. mostly it was just smaller stuff i was cutting off before flower for a little supercropping. i feel sure next time i will hit 90% or more. clones are quick. or at least the ones ive been growing seem to be quick.

yes it's much more of a hassle because most of the times the plants become too big to lay them down on the net before they show female or male. A thing you could do is take a few cuttings from your initial plants, use one of those for selecting the females (by putting it on 12/12), the others for back-up. if you have 3 clones from each female you have enough plant material left to select your mother after your harvest and start your next crop.
