what kind of file is it? .avi? compressed/archived(.rar)? if it's regular movie file and it's not playing then google vlc. it's player that will play almost anything, even incomplete broken files.

I would try using Vista Codec Pack. I downloaded it and it updated most of my codecs. Most torrents are split into .RAR parts (movie.part01.rar, movie.part02.rar,etc) and must be extracted to view the movie. You just open the part one and drag and drop. Most scene bittorrent movies come in .avi format and to view it and pretty much any other type of video file I use Vlc media player. It will play anything from realmedia to Dvd movies. Its free and easy to use.

Vista Codec Pack Version 4.5.1 -

WinRar Version 3.71 -

VLC Media Player (most necessary) -

Dont use codecs, they just end up confusing the fuck out of your PC.
Just use VLC and get it over with.

And a movie took 2 days?! 1.5 hours MAX for me.

right click on the file go down to proporties. In the window that pops up, it should say File Type: ..... tell us what that says and then we can help you more.

what kind of file is it, tckfui? as Kant pointed out we need to know the file extension. locate the file on your drive.. if it's .avi extension, most likely it will be xvid / divx compressed. you'll need both codecs or 1 good video program to play it. i use total video converter, it comes with a player and the codecs.

here's a link..
Total Video Converter - Reviews and free Total Video Converter downloads at Download.com you can also find the full version on any warez site.

if it's in .rar/.zip you'll need winrar to uncompress before you can play it.
hope this helps..
