*Raises hand*

I've been doing it for awhile now. Soon I'll be getting my own, and when I do, I'm going to leave my connection unencrypted for a bit, because I want to find out what kind of access I will have to their comp.

real fun is to login to the router and rename the network to something funny, like "fanny bandits" :)

What kind of access do you have to their comp when they jump on your signal?
When I used to steal mine I could see every file in his computer! I used to listen to his music, look at his pics, read his essays lmao! I knew the guy from high school but he didn't know I was stealing his internet.:fire:

You have access to all there traffic, even ssl with some mitm tricks.

As far as there computer, it all depends on what file/network shares they have available. sometimes nothing, sometimes everything.

because i do. i connect off somebodys belkin rouder with my laptop its awesome because they have comcast and ive been doing it for like 4 years now haha.

thanks belkin54g!
Yeah comcast abuser here 2 i use theirs when im behind on my bill. id rather have my own im on their 50mb docsys3 tier and eve tho my neighbor has a Nband router i think he has their slower 6mb speed so piss on that. Plus I game and love lower ping.

But if plp r stupid and wont secure it half way then use away. careful if they are someone like me that knows what they are doing and has say a linksys wrt54g then they may have reflashed it with a new home made firm ware and can tell what your doing ect...

hehehehe.

I used one once to catch a neighbor trying to get on another of mine, when he connected I found he had shared folders and deleted his music and porn hahahaha
Im stoned
just thought that was a funny story:bigjoint:

God love the stupid plp.

if you leave your wifi open and your router improperly configured, you're wideeeeeeee open for identity theft... all they need to do is set the routers DMZ to their ip address and start sniffing packets... if you make purchases online, or look at pictures online, they will see the pictures, they can see the data...

i have all of my network locked down by mac address... so its not shared password authentication... it only allows specific devices to use my network... network security should be important if you guys use wifi, especially if you grow and post grow photos, etc.

Yo man
mac filtering is OK, but if someone has a sniffer they can clone your mac addy and if they can go that far then they prob can gnab your password 1 way or another for your router. I rarely even use mine.
I live having 1GB wired over shitty wireless any day, it's way more secure and no lag.

When I need a wireless device I do use the mac filter as well but only as a little extra, WPA2 radius is what I use and I run a Win 03 personal server for files ect and a shitty old laptop as another firewall on my network that also is the radius server.

MAC address cloning is very easy to do.
Yes but MAC filtering shouldn't be the only thing you've got going on...

Obviously though, monitoring who is on the network at any given moment isn't hard... but I doubt many of us keep track of all the activity

Exactly what I was saying, that's why 95% of the time, my wireless is off all together, can't get on what's not there. Im outta here guys happy tokin!:bigjoint:

I've jumped on a few different signals and tried to get access to their pc, but I've been unable to do so.
