people who steal plants

so its about that time of year where we all get to havrvest our outdoor plants, i need some advice on catching people who are trying to steal my plants. i do not grow legally so i cannot call the police if someone tries to steal them nor can i hear them so what are somethings i can do to prevent my plants from being stolen? does anyone have any of there own ideas that are brilliant in catching people, i wish to hurt them but its not worth going to jail. i have a large fence around my yard and my plants are scattered all around there are only 3 of them the rest are in fields. so lets hear some good ideas? my window is right near the biggest one so whats a good noise maker? thanks alot from anyone who posts in this thread

do not set traps that will hurt ppl... this will incourage weed to be illeage and frowned apon

put a stick in the pot right next to the stem and tie a rope gently around the stem den attach a smal bell

So if someone did try to enter the property and they injured themselves, it's their fault 'cos they'd be trespassing.

u would think so... i ve heard stories of ppl breakin into the house, gettin hurt and then suing... look at kids who pool hop and drown.. u can be sued for that as well

1st a Guard dog is a best bet, people are afraid of big dogs.#2 I would install something simply for the one by the window like a motion sensor light. for the other ones i would put a Varmint trap at the base of the plants, when some goes to uproot your plant they will get a nasty bite. Also go buy some sand from home depot and scatter it around plants. The thief will leave foot prints, you might be surprised "whos" foot prints show up, could even be a friend.

I place 1 receiver in my bedroom window, and another receiver near the garden, so if it goes off hopefully the would be robbers run away. I also have 2 wireless security cameras (1500ft range) keeping an eye on the garden too. This is a legal grow too California prop215.

I too have some plants growing outside. My setup is a little different though , where as your plants are in ground? Mine are in buckets. So i can move them around for best light, put them in the shed at night etc. So I too worry about theft, but I agree with "tom_420". Get you some motion sensor lights or dog that barks. Or maybe a camera. I got a wireless camera hooked up to my computer,self explanatory, it works great.I also got my minpin chained up out back. Another great deterrent....Know your neighbors...Be cool with your neighbors..

HAHA i have one that is good for 2 miles wireless! and i have a telescopic batton with a led tip i like to call " the clavicule buster" so when the alarm goes off someones missing fusion in a clavicule bone! lol

Fuck People who steal plants. just shows how fuckin lazy they are, cant even put in the hard work required so they take shortcuts
i personnally find "hard work" is more rewarding in the end

thats why i said i dont want the police involved lol if i hurt someone its not worth going to jail for... and the fog horn with a trip wire is a tight idea but that will be a little heat.. come on guys use your imagination

Lol i was talking to friend and his suggestion was a horse fence... It socks the crap out of the person but not enough to kill them...

I use trip wires motion lights put like 5 screws in my gate. Sleep with ur window open.wait wait wait iv got it..Master Shake will keep them safe

nothing says keep out like an NRA sticker somewhere where everyone can see any sort of hillbilly-ish gun promotion would scare off most would-be rippers!
