whats up stoners! got a question for yall. . . I want to grow Jack Herer and Ed Rosenthal and Im blessed with 9ft celings. MY PLAN IS. . . to grow 6 plants, 3 Jack 3 Ed, and i want to do some experimantations. 3 different grows, two plants (1 Jack, 1 Ed) I want to use U. B.s 4 cola topping method, the next set of two I want to supper crop, the last two will be my controll plants allowed to grow as they would in the wild with only minimal trimming. Im trying to determine which method will give me the best average in returning high yield and high quality for these two strains. They will all recieve the same nutes, lighting, co2, etc. MY QUESTION IS. . . is it a good idea to have three different growing techniques occuring at the same time? Ready for yalls input and suggestions! thanks ya'll!

I definitely think it will be a worthy experiment! In order for the experiment to "work" you will have to use clones though (not from seed).

I think it depends on how you have your lighting set up. You want nice even distribution across the canopy. your control plants will most likely get way taller than the others. are you using more than one light? (super cool idea btw :))

thanks yall! i plan on using two 400w MH for vegging and two 400w HPS during flowering. hopefully that will be enough. . .

thanks for that info! i was just gonna go from seeds, ur suggestion is the right way to do it though! it gives exact control! the same plants all throughout, i was stoned when i thought of my idea so i appreciate you bringing me back to the science!

Hey i tried a very similar experiment. I had 2 snow whites that i used U. B.s 4 cola topping method on. then i had 2 more plants that i just let grow. As soon as i cut the 2 snow whites at the 2nd true node after they had 7-9 true nodes like ur suppose to all problem started. The snow whites still grew nicely and everything but my other 2 plants had them out grown by about 8 inches. by the time i got to flowering my snow whites where only about 9 inches when the other 2 plants were bout 2 and a half feet. When i switched to flowering my 2 plants that i just let grow completely covered the snow whites and the snow whites wherent getting any light at all. Also the snow whites got nute lock after a lil while cuz i was feeding them the same ammount as i was feeding all the other plants and they were just to small to handel it after i topped them. I used same nutes co2 and everything for all plants used a 600w HPS to flower. I did the U. B.s 4 cola topping method seperatly before on 2 plants few grows back and got 7.6 ounces dry off one plants a 8.1 ounces of the other one so i know for 100% this method works VERY GOOD. Im gonna look for pics and try to post them up for ya. Happy Growing :).
