With the Alfalfa, seeweed & molasses added, you'll have some kick ass soil. What about geensand & Epsom salt, for your minerials & balancing the soil?
I use dolomite lime for ca/mg and ph... does that substitute for the epson salt? I have not heard about using greensand before.

I use a mix of 40%ffof/30%perlite/15%wormcastings/15%peat.

Look up "Soil PH & Greensand in the Library at the Dirt Doctors web site. Epsom salt isn't listed, but it balances out magnesium & ( I think) Potassium) & adds trace minerials. There is a LOT of info within that Library. Hope this helped.

For normal, outdoor, in ground plants, one hand full thrown in the hole for each plant. I pre-mix the shit prior to planting, along with all the other shit.

Somebody041.... Yes, it's some really nasty smelling stuff. You can filter out the chunks, the triacontanol will be in the liquid itself. It's a very good growth stimulant.

hey ohso (or anybody else that knows!),

does this stuff go bad? after a 3 day soak could i just pour it into bottles and store with the cap on loosely?

and could i just use alfalfa with molasses and seaweed and compost to brew a tea and have the triaco...whatever be extracted over a 24hour brew?

Somebody041.... Any compost, fertilizer or tonic style tea will sour (turn anaerobic) if not supplied with a constant supply of oxygen (bubbled), refrigerated (between 35 & 45 degrees) or pH adjusted to a very acidic or alkaline range. Refrigerating it will stretch out it's shelf life for 7 to 10 days. The key with these is just make small batches, it prevents waste.

i just made another batch of this stuff. i'm going to give some to my plants that are 10 days into flowering in addition to bmo Flower Power.

i'm assuming the hormone is good during veg and flower?

.
Somebody041... It provides the most benefit during veg growth, used weekly. During flowering, used every 14 days, it is helpful. Discontinue use, the last two weeks of flowering, so buds can finish properly.

hey ohso, i've got another question pertaining to this stuff.

does it have a high nitrogen content? i wanted to make a batch for the next time i feed but i'm not sure if using it with BMO's GIG means i should use less GIG or continue at my scheduled strength. thanks!

Would this be good to add to a compost pile? If so in what ratio would be suggested?

I'm about to start a large compost for my garden and if this is a cheap additive that I can buy in large amounts at the feed store, I'm down for that.

Somebody041.... The nitrogen content of alfalfa pellets or cubes is about 2 With 1 being soluble N and the other 1 being insoluble N (needs time, microbial action or weathering to breakdown).
.
So, adding a cup of ground up or pulverized, alfalfa to each gallon up mixed up GIG would not be to hot. Then just topdress the leftovers, earthworms love them.
.
I personally just put some pellets in an old pillowcase, and smash them to dust with a brick. Coffee bean grinders work well also. I finally wore out the one I picked up at the Goodwill Thrift Store for $ 1, after three years steady use.

LowEnder.... Three cups of pulverized alfalfa pellets or cubes, per cubic yard of compost works great. The N kicks off the process and gets the micro-beasties to doing their thing.
.
I get mine from the feed store also. It's hard to beat $ 10 for 50 pounds. If you go to upscale garden centers, they'll sell you a 5 lb. tub of alfalfa meal (just ground up alfalfa pellets), for $ 7 .... talk about profit margin .......

What you know, can save you money........
