Home depot sells 300 watt equivalent cfls(light source) for 17 bucks a pop and reflector sockets for the bulb to go in for around 8 bucks so add it up you will probably need two of each and this will work for like 4 plants veggin and 2 plants flowering. Really you will need alot more than 50 bucks for every thing but $50 will almost pay for your lights. If you plan on more than two plants you will need something like a hps( high pressure sodium) with red spectrum there is alot of stuff to learn so I reccomend before you grow study up on it for a while antill you know the basics how to ph, nute, clone, water, lighting schedules, flushing, how to diagnose problems like heat stress, over water, under water, nute burn, mold, rust, white flies, and other pest, good luck and hopefully you will get everything strait before you try to grow when you dont what you are doing.
