Suburban Backyard, Possible Security Breach

So i have 1 monster, 1 decent sized, and 4 "smaller" plants in my backyard, ALL confirmed females.

Now i know its a general rule to tell NO ONE about your grow, and i thought i would never have to post one of THESE threads..but give me a break just this once.

This is the problem.

A buddy of mine, wich i would have used to have called one of my best friends, had a possible fallout with me. Neither one of us are angry that i know of, but i do have slight trust issues with him now that this happened.
The guy is a bit of a thief and a bit of a tweaker also.

Im worried that sometime in the next 2-3 months my plants or the buds of my plants will be gone.

I have a gate with a lock, and 2 dogs as far as any kind of security goes.
My idea is to just pitch a tent and sleep back there everynight in hopes of stopping anything like that from happening. NOW the problem with that is, we have ghetto birds flying over this area everynight and everyday, so im worried that the copters might see a coincidence with a tent in somones backyard with a garden, during this time of year..

Bit of a rant..
Any ideas guys?

How do you think this guy can break in? I'd focus on fixing that. Maybe installing those motion sensing flood lights, though don't angle it at the plants :P

id mount lasers on your dogs and train them to cook their food lol jk

you should either resolve things with this guy or move your plants inside

I mean its pretty easy to hope a gate, ya know.
Resolving isnt an option and the plants are in the ground.
Flood lights are a good idea but, i dont think it would completly deter him, or anyone for that matter.

Seems like lasers are the best idea for my situation, haha.

What do you guys think bout the tent helicopter thing?

i think your paranoid, there not looking to bust someone camping in their own yard

but i would be out there on a rocking chair with a shotgun ready to welcome any midnight with a blast of lead

you guys who are suggesting floodlights aware of the risk of herm that that would cause

If you want to deter him, and don't care too much about how it looks...use razor wire/barbed wire. Put it on your fence (unless your dogs might knock into it jumping up), or wrap it around your plants.

Or just get some chicken wire, and wrap it around the plants. Secure it well to the pots. This way, if someone wants to steal some, they'd have to cut through the chicken wire. That extra effort might deter someone just trying to jump the fence and swipe some.

if u knew for sure this guy is going to steal u stuff you could sabotage it and make the smoke real bad with chemicals or something

that would be funny if he smoked it and got sick because he stole bad MJ

im just kidding though i dont endorse this
