HELP! Plants are burning up

They've way outgrown and are getting out of control 2 weeks into flowering

250 watt hps light
Started flowering late (at around 16 inches)
i heard they would stop growing 2 weeks into flowering and now they're massive close to 3 feet kissing the light. The light has only 2 more inches to move up.

12/12 cycle. started 14/10 first week. DWS

This is bad because it's in the middle of budding and the top good nugs are going away

I believe my mistake was not cycling to flowering soon enough and having 3 different strains with completely different growing dimensions

You're still early into the flowering stage, just tie the plant tops down, so they don't burn themselves

lol...who told you they would stop growing after 2 weeks of flowering? You should have lst'd or super cropped em. I would try to bed them...or raise the light if you can...Best bet would be to try to tie them down.

Wait...what makes you sad? All you have to do is tie em down a bit...shouldn't hurt it too much if you're early into flowering.

Wouldn't even hurt them much if you were late in flowering. What the heck are you really sad about? Get them outta the light...just time them to the side with a piece of twine or something.

That won't have effect on the length of the flowering period. Just bend it down out of the way and it'll be just fine. Only bend it as much as it needs to be bent of course. don't bend them to where they are now WAY below the light, just organize them around and move them in a fashion that they all get the best out of the light and stay away from it enough.

Will do. Moved the light up a couple of inches. HOpefully they will stop growing taller. I also bent them. I'll need to check on them soon.

Before that though:

Does anyone know of a good harvesting/curing article? Most things i've found aren't very descriptive.

that's perfect man thank you.

Question though, say the plants have outgrown the light penetration of the bulb. Could i theoretically snip off budded/ready branches and then proceed to lower the light so that the lower branches can start flowering? Or will it all just happen at the same time?
