First Closet Grow (CFL) (Pics)

Well i am changing my method alittle tonight and tomorrow, instead of the closet i will be using a modified small cabinet as my grow location, I will be posting pics in about 20 minutes

Hi i was wondering i am on my first grow and i got a little close set up.I got potting soil and it feeds up to 4 months. it says it has N in it and K2O.I ant giving it nothing just doing it natural and i planted it 4 days ago after germinating it.I got one plant.It is already 2 inches tall.I got 2 grow lights on it one 75 watt and one 65 watt.The closet it like 3x3 and the temp stays around 80 to 85 degrees.Do you think it will survive with out giving it anything but deer park water and good light and if so how long you think before i can detemine male or female

Alright so the closet grow is now outta commission, it was replaced by a new cabinet that will continue to grow the Dinafem Mody Dick plant. The two bigger plants are still in the closet, but there are no lights/timer/temp control or anything they are just enjoying the dark. I will be doing 12/12 manually each day by moving them outside and back in for dark. Here are a few pics of the new setup. Comments always welcome +rep for any suggestions

I have a computer fan at the bottom pulling in new air and another computer fan pushing air out, I will be putting in another small fan to circulate air when my funds will let me do so lol but yeah thanks man I really like this setup so far. We will see how it turns out

Thanks i think this new setup looks alittle more classy then the old closet grow, but they both worked really good. I actually just moved those girls outdoors today. They were born and raised CFL ; ) Thanks for the comment man good luck on your grow if your growing

After one of the tops broke off of my little plant i decided to redo the LST and i think it came out nice. Also there are a few more pics of the outside girls, just checked on them and they are loving the sun. Some people say its not good to go from CFL to sun but it seems to be perfect.

Today is the second day of flowering for my two big plants, spotted a male and gave it away, friend wanted it anyways. So now that leaves me with one female and the little Moby Dick which is still vegging 24/7.

Is it common to have to water every day? If i don't the ones that are flowering seem to just fall limp, after i water they perk right back up.

And I was thinking of switching to 16/8 lighting on the moby dick plant, just to give it a break some times. The plant is about 6 days shy of a month old. Any comments or opinions on this? Think it would be a good idea or a bad idea? Thanks

Hi everyone cud u tell me is white paint REALLY as effective as Mylar or ally foil? I know it does not retain heat like them which makes me think its the way 2 go as I am V paranoid about I/R. I also have a 2x4' closet with 6" clip fan exhaust how dyu reckon I should time the 6" clip and do you think an open closet is suitable 4 a passive inlet for this? your thoughts please Thank You

How much do you water? you should be giving them like 2-3 liters every 4-5 days. I have 4 girls indoors in 3 gal pots and I feed them 5 gallons between them all every 5 days.

Yuppers a good flat white paint job is just as good. Dont worry about IR in a 2'x4' room. LOL you'll be okay it wont be noticable FLIR's are looking for guys with multiple 1000 watters. I'm sure your only going o be running a 250 hps max... correct?

I'm not sure what he is doing lol, anyways since i went from the closet to the cabinet temps have gotten alittle outta hand i have two computer fans running and a small 8 inch box fan in the room to circulate the air and the temps are still stuck between 81-86 any ideas?

Yeah i get what your saying, once i get the temps down i will be switching to 18/6 then when its flwoering time 12/12. And if you still need some CFLs Wally world has 45 watt CFLs for 97 cents!!!! can't beat that shit anywhere man
