Price: Average, Rating (5)
Service: e-mail contact seemed to be designed to make most people give up on getting a reply from them. They must not need repeat business. The rating here would be 0 but after weeks, many emails begging for a reply and finally a treat to post what they were doing, they did email me back. Rating (1)
Time to receive seeds Rating (5)
Stealth Rating: (9)
Would you order from the same bank again: Not a change! (No)
Other Comments: My main reason for posting is to help others, not waste a lot of money and mouths of time, and only then find out they been scammed. Nirvana-shop did this to me TWICE.

Why do I feel it was an intentional scam from the start? Several reasons, First I do my growing with scientific precision and have seen a lot of weird things over many years, but whatNirvana-shop sent me was a freak of nature like I never seen before. The seeds I ordered were Purple power, what I got were a strain that would not form buds, and never stopped growing, all in a 12 hour light cycle. Also without a hint of purple to any part of the plant.

Other 8-week flowering stains came and went 3 times. The freak strain did show just enough to tell males from females at about 9 weeks but then just keep growing. It was to weird, I finally had to trash them as a complete loss. Thinking it may be some real unusual honest mistake, I tried to contact nirvana-shop. Not giving up for weeks I finally got a reply and explained in great detail about the freak strain. They finally agreed to send me “genuine” Purple power seeds. I spent mouths of time on them too, and guess what! They sent me exactly the same freak strain again. Now I am out a lot of money and even more time, and still no Purple power. Fool me once…

For this to happen twice after they new exactly what they did the first time seems like it has got to be intentional. How did they even get a freak strain like this anyway? It’s not in any photos on their site. I can’t be so unlucky to be the only one that got this freak strain, TWICE. I did email them back after they did it to me again. There was no reply like the first time then return mails like they went out of business. Now I see they are still online. Is this a common scam that I just got unlucky with? Who can be trusted? I still need purple genetics.

I was an easy “mark” like any of their customers. I am in the US, they know I will not know I was scammed for months, and 90% of scammed customers will do nothing in response, and most that do give up with no email response. Very few will stick it out this far just to help others. Even after a post they know a nice website will bring in enough first timers to make them rich. It’s not just Nirvana-shop, this con game is widespread. We need a better way to know whom to trust.

Even scammers don’t scam every one all the time. That would be too obvious. Well some might, but not the smart ones. Also if it were just one thing, even a big thing like a freak strain that doesn’t flower, I would give them another chance, and I did. But after they were fully informed what they were sending out, and then to do it again. Also not returning emails after knowing what they are doing, all this can’t be just extreme incompetence, although I wasn’t sure at first ether.

“why create an account just to post this? why not use your regular account.”

Not sure if you mean me “Scamstopper” but I only have one account and don’t know what a regular account is. The reason I am posting is in my first post. To help others know whom to trust or not trust in this case. Isn’t that what a community site is all about? Helping others grow better, not get ripped off, etc.

i never had a problem with nirvana, in europe they are well known trademark, seems a little strange that they would play this sort of games with a customer.

No “rivalry stuff” here but I can see how that would happen. I am new to this group and don’t need grow help, and I’m not into posting personal stuff or details about my setup. But don’t mind helping others with some growing tips. It is more of a scientific interest than a hobby for me. But my posts are honest, sincere and vary accurate about the results.

Not to single out Nirvana-shop and to be fair, I did get what seems to be the same freak strain from www.marijuana-seeds.nl under the same name “purple power”. It could be the same breeder supplying many sellers. I will post more aboutwww.marijuana-seeds.nl later. I know I can’t be the only one to get this freak strain, and to all come under the name “purple power” can’t be a coincidence. This part is a mystery that I hope others may help solve.

But for Nirvana-shop, It could be a combination of extreme incompetence, a policy to not return emails for weeks, a knowing desire to cover up buying a freak strain, and the willingness to pass them on to their customers. Even if others didn’t or couldn’t let them know what they were passing on, I let them know in detail and they did it again. It all seem to add up to them knowing and not wanting to correct it.

well weather its true or not if any company repeatedly fucks people over eventually there gonna ruin their credibility and lose business. If i was this guy I would try something else besides purple power. sounds like you aint havin so gooda luck with that strain- peace

Thanks for the welcome DGK4life,

I am reluctant to post photos, and haven’t even looked into how yet. But your freak may be the same freak strain I got but just sold under a different name. Mine had no bud just a lot of stems and it did start to resemble a vine by the time I gave up on it.

Not finishing in a 12-hour light cycle is weirder than most people know. All plants have a light sensitive hormone that brakes down in the presence of light. The hormone builds up with less light and triggers the flowering response and end of life for annuals. For an annual to not respond to less hours of light and keep growing would indicate genetic damage to that hormone. How the genetic damage occurred, only the breeder may know, and they may not even know.

But once breeders and sellers know what they are passing off as a genuine strain, losing money and time for their customers, I got a problem with that. No mater who they are.

I would think an experienced grower wouldn't worry about it. Maybe if you had done a journal I could be bothered to care. You can't please all the people all the time.
