Yeah dude, I know exactly what you mean. Every thread I made so far, at least half of the replies I get are hate and non-productive criticism. Don't worry about it though, just put them on your ignore list and report the posts, if they're harassing you. Not everyone in RIU are assholes, some are actually pretty cool.

A forum is exactly that, a 'forum for discussion' I do not recall reading anywhere on the site that RIU is noob central for questions answered 500 times already. If they'd just use the search function they'd find it much faster than waiting for somone who's already answered the same question.

You're right it's not google, it's RIU, but google anything about marijuana growing and you'll find RIU usually holds at least 6 spots on the first search page.

I think this thread is the essence of what a forum should be, idea's and concepts discussed freely. I think that that, 'How much bud can I get if I grow under my bed with a CFL? I can't have my mom find it.' Is just a bit tedious and tiresome. The tiniest bit of research here or elsewhere would reveal a plant that, in nature, grows to be an average of 8 feet tall and up to 15 would alone answer the question.

I moderate and program 2 forums and both of them have an entire 'noob' section. Anything posted that is obviously noob get's moved to those sections to keep hardcore discusssion about the topic in the hardcore areas. The only thing about this thread is that I think it should be in toke n talk, or another section and not 'The Grow Room.'

so, now that you all have bitched and bashed, do you have ANY suggestions?

shall i just start deleting threads?
how you gonna feel when i delete yours? or are you all above that?
who judges what stays?
do we lock it once the question is answered?
a lot of people do different things with the same outcome. whose way is the correct way?


so unless you all are here to simply complain i will be open to ideas. otherwise i will start cleaning things up by closing this thread. it's full of hate and anger. :(

Well, nothing I said was meant to be directed toward you, I'm just saying what's up. I'll say that its pretty hard to judge whats right and whats wrong. The only suggestion I can make is to delete posts that are insulting anyone, such as the OP; no one likes personal attacks.

Lotta folks outta work, money is tight. people losing their homes and being pushed out onto the street, while the bankers eat caviar and get 7 figure bonuses that the taxpayer foots the bill for. Its no wonder people are in a shitty mood, full of hate and anger, just a Sign O' The Times FDD.

if we lose this we have nothing. where else can we all openly talk the talk we talk here? and i mean POT not all the other BS. this site IS what WE make it. :weed:

Wize words from yourself and Nodrama, the world is never going to be perfect but for me this site makes things just a little better.

i kinda have to be like an orchestra leader. by being a mod i can somewhat "control the flow". i try my best to just let it all ride though. it would take a lot of time to really dive in and make a change.

My mate sits night and day doing online work, a very very clever guy, all the work come to him, but time after time he gets fecked over for cash, as he always says, all he wants is one thing, to be paid, by the way where is can,i,buz these days ? not seen her about, she must have found her man or gave up, me reading into it sounded like yous knew each other.

The site must differ alot from something as simple as the weather and time of year. i know there cant be to many members compare to the rest of the world from the likes of the uk, but we are now about to go into the dark nights, 4/5pm being dark and thus people sitting infront of their pc's and wanting to talk more, there also must be people who just join to solve their problem then leave.
