6in inline fan from home depot. Good enough?

My flowering room has 1 600w hps and 2 150whps, my room is vented with a 4in vortex with a carbon filter. and my room is a little hot.

i was trying to think of a way to lower my temps without having to spend over 100on a bigger vortex. so i was walking around home depot and saw that they have inline fans. they will move nowhere near the volume that a good inline will move but they are about $15 for 1 6in and that is right in my budget.

can i vent my light with one of these? and if so, can i use 2 to vent my 600, one pushing air through and one somewhere farther down to pull air? should i use two or will it be worthless?

and i was thinking about putting a couple more of these in my room and using some diy carbon filters stuffed in the ducting to vent my room even more.

any help would be apreciated

Use two 6 inch inline duct boosters like the ones you are talking about. Don't use any reducers though because that will greatly reduce the airflow to almost nothing. Make sure you use 6 inch ducting with these

The fans in question do move air fairly well, but they just don't last as long as fans of higher quality. I have 5 or 6 of them that have quit working, broke blades, grinding motors, etc. They get you by though. Just thought I'd pitch in my 2 cents.

At least a full grow cycle. Which makes them worth the money. But they usually start going downhill on the 2nd or 3rd go round.

Sounds like you might need an air conditioner if temps are your problem. You need to draw in fresh COOL air into your grow room. If you throw more fans in there, you'll just end up just circulating hot air around.

Ive got two 6in duct booster fans that work great. One of them alone keeps my 400w HPS cool by sucking out the air. Have another for intake. Got them off eBay.

240 free air cfm
Cost $31ish per.

6in Aero-Flo fans. Can get off 3Bay or airboosterfans.com

temps are not crazy high, they are aroung 84-88 during the day, and im getting fresh air from a window that leads outside. its just that this room is a little bigger than the last room and my four inch doesnt pull enough air out.

would the fan be better pushing the air or pulling the air? and..... would it be beneficial whatsoever to use two on the same reflector? one pushing air and one pulling?

Most booster fans are meant to push air I believe, I could be wrong but dont think it really makes all that much of a difference.

My temps are about the same. Ive just got 1 6in 240cfm fan hooked up to the side of my cooltube pulling the hot air out. Then have another fan that pushes fresh air into the bottom of the tent. Temps stay great.
