where can i get something that will hold all those bulbs like a 8 way socket or something.
You can go to wal-mart or home depot...as for an eight-way socket.... I dunno about easily finding one thats manufactured.. but you can sure make one yourself... simply buy 2 light sockets (the ones they sell for work lamps that come with a 6" or 10" dome reflector, for like $7-$12)
heres a link:

and then buy 6 light splitters.. these are the kind i'm talking about :

Six of these^^^

Buy your lights, preferably 40 watters

Clamp on your fixture with everything screwed in and viola!

This is great because you can form a dome-like coverage of CFL's over your plants..... even add another fixture to it with more lights for another side of foliage..... It works for me and its quick and easy. No wiring. No electrical hazrd as long as you stay beneath the recommended wattage ur gud

You'll wind up spending around $100 if you look around in the right places

Hope this helped! Happy growing

That's about 100w actual for several plants? No, it's not enough, not even close.

thanks man what do you think about two 300 watt equivalents CFLs with 10" reflector socket for three plants would that work. The price of this setup will be around $60.00 a little cheaper.

The 300 watt equivalent bulb is huge ( compared to other cfls) but I have to say it made a big difference for me.. My plant responded well. I would recommend it.

The wattage of the CFL bulb doesn't really matter, they're all roughly the same peak intensity. Total wattage/'lumens'(not really "lumens" but PPF aka photosynthetic photon flux) is what matters.

You'll want 50-100 actual watts per cubic foot of foliage for flowering, and as little as 13W for veg.

Is it enough? I would say dfinately yes.... Have u read buds for less? It's a pretty good look at how cfls do througout an entire grow ( 3 plants BTW ) and he only used 54w bulbs. Look it up on amazon or read the thread about, it's a sticky…

What he said..... That book is such a great read.....

They're not HID lights... they're CFL's. They lose lumens very quickly after like 2 inches away from the bulb itself. It's about proximity from foliage and yes, its possible as long as you know how to place your lights...

Keep your CFL's 1-3 inches away from foliage....
I say, as long as you are having to adjust your lights about 1/4 - 1/2 inch every 1-2 days, you're doing good.

Another thing you didn;t mention that plays a role in this.... How big is your growing space...... is it enclosed? Do you have mylar on the walls? How tall/how long did you veg your plants.....

Ect...

Peace
