it can be kinda tricky to fim ur plants. somtime u get it som times u dont. but even if u dont do it right it will just top ur plant so u win eathier way just not as good.

Haha, i get everyones arguments and theres certainly mixed views. all i know is that in a mtr x mtr x 2mtr high space ya can pull 14 dry oz a plant with just one 600 light. i have a blue 600 for veg and a red 600 for flower, part way through flower i give a mixed bulb that emits the balance of red and blue i need. i do hydro and have thought about leds a few times but yes until theyre up to scratch and cheaper i wont be buying any. however i will make a led board up myself and then do a test of say 400 watt led to 400 watt hid on some diesel ryder autos iv just started off. il get babk to you in a few weeks and let you know how its looking with pics for comparison all the way through, say once a week or so. Just need a little intel guys. Is an led an led or is there different types (outputs and spectrums). im sure there all the same but would just like conformation. and also what ratio should red/blue be in? im sure its about60 blue 40 red but not sure.

There is a difference in LED's, to have a good grow you need at least 1 watt LED's in the correct nm. Those panels on ebay, alot only use low watt leds and don't put out the power. I just added a 90 watt UFO today and using it on the side (I don't have it above my plant). Above the plant I am using a small 150 watt hps and a 24 inch x 4 bulb T5 with 3k x2 and 6500k x 2. I only have one plant, the other 2 turned out to be males. So I am using way too much right now for 1, but sure looking nice.

I'm at week 6 too... and my buds, under 940 watts led red 620-645...
look twice as crazy, and are pure sativa even, The sugar leaves are all waxed over and like acid dark green. Fucking electric. Dumping p/k on them presently, and trying out some of that humbolt gravity.

Its about wattage more than marking the frequency spot on.
the color is almost less important than the power. the HPS proves that...
A plant can run on more than just two frequencies... just less efficiently and with more drama than necessary. So, I'm sorry, but I can't post pics. its not cool. I don't have a proxy.
So until then I simply won't share.

im at the beginning of week six.

im excited to harvest this but more so for the purple. these god bud clones were revegged with buds on them, and have had pretty fucked up lives from my mistakes, but the purple is very healthy, hopefully less mistakes by me

god bud were hermies, totally seeded. i thought they were just tight little nugs, but they were hard from seed lol. so the god bud is now hash, the purple buddahs are going good, and 12 small to mid size plants/clones goin. i am getting a few 15 watt warm spectrum led bulbs, made of 3w cree bulbs to supplement, and switching from 5 gallon buckets to 25 gallon rubbermaid tubs for about 9 to 12 clones per tub. pics in a bit
