Brett Favre now a Minnesota Viking

I'm just sorry he had to leave NYJ. He single handedly lost the game that put my dolphins in the playoffs.

He is old. Last year he was only effective about half the season. This year he skipped camp, and probably didn't work out as hard as he normally would in the offseason. I'm predicting 3-4 good games in september/october, followed by another, even bigger collapse.

TJ finished the season pretty strong last year. IMO this move is a step back for the vikings.

Well when the Williams get suspended for the first 4 games, my Packers will come in on monday night and Favre will throw 3 picks including a pick-6. Rodgers is going to throw for 2 TD's, 309 yards, Grant is going to run for 135 yards and a TD. Packers win 28-17.

The Vikings were a better team than the Packers before Favre even signed. Stop being a homer.

he is past his prime. still better than jackson or rosenfels but not enough for the title.
I agree, but there is no doubt in my mind that the Vikings will finish with a better record than both the Packers and the Jets.

In fact, the Packers will probably finish third in the division behind both Chicago and Minnesota. I'm not a fan of any of those teams so this is my 100% non-biased opinion.

I'm all Bears till the day I die. All I gotta say is
In his last six games against the Bears as a member of the Packers, Favre threw just 2 TD passes and 13 interceptions, three of which were returned for scores by Urlacher, Lance Briggs and Nate Vasher. In other words, Favre threw more TDs to the Bears than the Packers in that span.

I'd be glad to see it happen w/ the Viqueens. I fear our (Chicago's) offense this year but the defense will murder as always

I know I'm going to get crushed for this but I'm a Jets fan and when I first heard that Brett joined the team I was stoked but by the end I was so pissed at the deal he is not worth the trouble or the money all he cared about was keeping records going blah blah blah most consecutive starts etc.
I know Viking fans are going to regret this trade either before the season ends or after.
Don't get me wrong I have nothing personal against him but I'd rather have a Tyrell Owens than a Favre anyday.
Here's wishing you luck all good not bad...

Favre is the greatest QB of all time, how can you not root for the Iron man....This guy is still a top 10 QB, if not a bit better now. He will not have to support the team with AP in the backfield, hes more dangerous now than he was in GB (not in his prime) mind you.
He is not the best QB of all time. He isn't even in the top 5. He will do what he always does and launch up interceptions. He should have stayed retired. He also waited so long to "make his decision," because he didn't want to go to training camp. He now has the organization doing whatever he wants. 2 years 25 million for a has been quarterback who will probably throw 20+ interceptions, wow. AP will carry the Vikings to the playoffs though.

how could he be the best when he leads in interceptions>>> i know he's stayed in longer than your average QB, and thats why he has that many but that was his choice to stay in.
I'm pretty sure he's a Grandpa...LOL.

In his prime he was probably top 10 all time. But his body just can't hold up to a full season any more. Especially since he has not been putting in as much time training in the offseason. I hate to shit on the vikings fan's parade, but I just don't see this ending well.

Any predictions on who makes the playoffs this year?

AFC
Pats
Steelers
Titans
Chargers

Wild Card: Colts, Dolphins/Ravens/Texans
I think injuries determine who gets that last spot. The dolphins have a tough schedule, but I think they have improved. I think the ravens will miss scott and ryan. The texans have been on the verge of being good for a couple years now, maybe this is the year they break through.

NFC
Giants
Packers
Falcons
Seahawks

Wild Card: Philly, Saints

I think the bears will be better, but I think their defense is overrated. The vikings need AP to stay healthy, and a quarterback that won't turn the ball over. The 49ers could surprise some people this year, but I just don't think they can score enough points.
