my room is about 10x8x8. i was plannin on getting a 6" vortex and leaving it on for 18veg/12flower as needed. the problem is.. where can i direct my ducting. can i leave the door open and just let the air go into the next room? i have 2 crawl spaces on each side, but im worried about letting cold air in, or the neighbors smelling the pot more than they probably will anyways. im on the 2nd floor, so idk if the smell rises in the winter, or what. idk what to do. i dont wanna get a inline fan if im just gonna be recirculating the air into the same room.

WHAT!!!!........you need to exhaust out your room.......the cold air will be good to control the temps.plus u need fresh air..vent out the ceiling

that room will get hot and stale....u will need to get out the hot air and put fresh air in...i guess you will just have to keep the door open !!
depends on how bad it smells.....i dont have to worrie about smell im legal!!

what type of hood is your light in? is it the type that you can channel air to, and extract air from? cause that air your neighbors could smell -- air that never "enters" the grow room.

if air that is entering your fans touched the buds at all, yes -- if you take air from a no-bud-zone and send it to a no-bud-zone, it will not smell of bud.
