LED UFO, 8 CFLS 6 plants....would this work

I'm a little skeptical at trying this and would like to hear why I shouldn't give it a shot, or if I should. And the question of WOULD I HAVE ENOUGH LIGHT, and if 6 girls is simply to many for the lights. The 90w UFO should give a coverage area of 5'x5', and 3'x3' core saturation for flowering. The hydroponics kit is only 2'x2'. And I hope by putting the 8 CFL's uniformly around the kit, it will be enough for getting through the canopy. Not sure, I would like to hear your opinions. Here is a basic design plan.The YELLOW represents the CFL's and the RED circle is the UFO. Tell me what you think..:weed:

I have a similar set up going. 2 plants under one 90w UFO with eight 32w CFL. I'm 2 weeks into flower while using LST extensively. My plants are 7 inches tall. The top buds are one inch from the UFO and seem to love it.

So far in my use 3X3 is fantasy and 6 plants will be way to many.

I'll do a journal when I'm totally finished.

What you are describing doing is almost just like my set up.

How come on at 7inches and flowering friend?

LST is low stress training. Keeps the height down and if you spend a lil time you can get a nice even canopy just like sog and scrog.

I read somewhere that the newer UFOs added a few spectrums like orange and or white. I wonder if they could add a UVA and UVB led and make it a complete mini sun! These smaller ones might be useful for some situations like micro grows:

I've read LED/CFL only penetrate 7-8 inches so I wanted them short. I pinned them over daily through veg and the first 2 weeks of 12-12. I used christmas ornament hanger hooks.

I would add more CFL to the edge as needed. Started with one UFO over three plants. Up to to 2 UFO's. One UFO with seven 32w CFL over two plants and another UFO with four 32w CFL over one plant.

Temps 76-77 day 71-70 night. PH'd water at 6.3. Cheese clone accuirred on 7-15. Here are some picks so far of what I've done. I was gonna wait to share but you described my rig so I had to get off the couch.

July 30th the light cycle went to 12-12.

The last week I steppped up the light to 442 total Watts. This is my first grow. Three plants is due to medical/legal limits.

I will do a proper journal when I harvest but since some one was thinking of going down the same path, I figured what the hell.

The buds are starting to add size. I'll do a new pic Thursday and post it if people want to see. Otherwise we can just discuss the monstrosity that is the modified UFO.

The girls are looking swell!!! I cant wait for mine to be set up. I revised the design for only three, not six girls. Ill be using 6 cfls and the 90w UFO. I hope this will be enough to give the girls what they need to thrive. Below is a quick design plan, I'm most certain it will be a good grow. I hope the single 5.7 gallon hydroponic power growers will do just fine. How old are you babies?:weed:

I bought 3 clones of the cheese on 7-15. Got them from a club and the guy said 4-5 weeks since they were cut.

I ran 24 hours of light for 2 weeks before switching to 12-12.
