Pot not draining? Is this normal?

Hey everyone,

I have been reading on alot of sites that your pot that your plant is in should drain well. My pot, doesnt drain at all. I currently water my 2 week old seedling about 130-150 ml Bottled Water every 2 days or so. I have tried knocking on the bottom of the pot to try and break up soil to get the water through.

I also am currently dealing with a leaf issue. The older mature leaves are turning much much darker, a little droopy, and almost deformed and cuppled downward. I have had bug issues before but have doubt with it and fixed the problem lots. Could the draining issue further understand why my older leaves are doing this?

Thanks for any info/solutions/tips you can help me with.

First of all, what kind of soil are you using? I recommend fox farm light warrior for seedlings and transplanting. Also, are you using plastic or clay pots? The leaf curling is a definite sign of over watering and you should cut back and let the soil dry out a little more.

Ok thanks im using gardening soil.. I just switched to Magic Plantation soil which seems alot better then the stuff im using. She is about 3-4 inches tall, 2.4 weeks, how much water in ML should she be getting?

rocks, broken clay pieces, small chunks of concrete will all work. and try to prop larger pieces in front of your drainage holes so the water can get through as well. youll probably need to empty the plant into another container, add the rocks, then put your plant back in. Be gentle. best of luck

I'd run some bbq skewers, etc down thru the soil to loosen the soil and bust up the channels that watering has created.
