Hooking up multiple CPU fans to the exhaust?

I need to use smaller CPU fans for my grow closet because of noise, and the fans will be on a timer with the CO2. I need them to push the exhaust through a DIY carbon filter but I don't think a single fan can get the job done (or maybe it can?).

Anyone have experience using multiple CPU fans? If you have any tips on how to mount them, pics of your setup, ideas for CFM rating to push through the filter, etc, the help is much appreciated.

Use larger slower fans. Its the tip speed that causes the noise.

But I doubt they will work for a carbon scrubber, they don't do well with restrictions to flow.

Thanks for the tips, though I still think I need a carbon filter for my closet grow (unless someone can suggest another way to get rid of the smell; I will not use a Fresh2 in my cab). I think that lots of people with stealth cabs smaller than mine use carbon filters, so I'm wondering what kinds of fans people are using?

I used a p/c power supply with pvc and glue for fan mounts but that was intake.
Any chance you could use a inline fan on a speed controller?

nope cant use. I would use something other than pc fans. High rpm=higher heat. Also PC fans annoy just by sound alone. Most of them sound like a high pitch whine.
