it would have been an embarrassing and insulting affront on the roman empire to enforce jewish scripture in any way.
the charge related to jesus claiming himself 'king of the jews', jews who were governed by rome. therefore it could be
translated to high treason. that was the charge. declaring himself king of anyone or anything on roman territory.
OF COURSE there were ulterior motives but the official charge would never have been blasphemy. this was a roman

Listen I hate both groups right now...but I've met some truly wonderful people from both sides of the fence. Do not become a pawn of the media. Actually talk with/hang out with people from all walks of life. I have and I discovered we are all pretty similar in the end.
We all want comfort and security...and to have some fun from time to time. Guys of all races/classes generally like sports and are knowledgeable about atleast one team. Women all are extra big on the security/comfort angle...not so much into the sports deal and their idea of having fun is more likely to involve shopping of some sort.
Stop thinking in terms of groups. Stop believing that group B is your enemy. Stop believing that group A is your friend. You are being brainwashed for the purpose of keeping you docile.
The government is more likely to be your enemy than are some people your age with a different skin color.

Just out of curiosity... do you know where the KKK started? It was the strong arm of the democratic party, meant to illicit voter intimidation of the republicans... who have historically been against racism. It was the democrats which put forth Jim Crow laws. The civil rights act was voted for by 60% of democrats... 80% by republicans... The republicans were responsible for freeing the slaves, and the 13t 14th and 15th amendments guaranteeing equal protection, voting rights etc for blacks.
The republican party has a long established history of equality... and the democrats were in staunch opposition.
I don't know that the bible OR the republicans promote racism.
