The olde heavy magnetic ballast get hot and give off heat and noise. A digital ballast is silent and cold to the touch and weight 8 lbs instead of 25 to 40 lbs

Glad I read this. My ballast is packed in a pretty tight place. Probably about to burn my house down. I may want to go check on that.

You have one line going to the kool tube then one going back out the fan is best on the end thats sucking air out of the tube and then out of the tent. here I use 2 in my 4x8 tents but I run 2 600 watters and use regular inline fans from homedepot one sucking air in one sucking it out and use the top holes in the tent. just slap on 2 bolt on duct piece for these tents and run flex hose like you got fan are on top of the tent to give me more room and less heat

the other end is going out the back of the tent i have it infront of the bulb so the air is cooling the bulb while it pulls the air out. is this bad or what?

You can do it as you have setup but to me it looks like it uses more rooms in the tent and the fan is kinda in a weird spot. First off you do have the flanges for the ducting that screw to the tent holes right? ther are like 5-8 bucks each. Well Id put the fan ouside on the flange with just the fle tub inside and I use the tops to keep the flex out of the way and makes raising lowering eaier as the flex can move up and down easier then corner to down it pulklks the light over

that won't work as efficiently, as it would if it was pulling air at the end of your exhaust.

Intake -> Light -> exhaust hose -> blower (pulling)
i want the air pushing on the light to keep fire risk down... and its all air tight and light tight still and its pushin a shit load of air

If you only use 1 fan then the best of the 2 directions is to have it pull air out away from the light and not have it blowing air at the light
