Lighting from the bottom up

For 5 plants indoor I was wondering if it ok to put lights from the bottom shining upwards. I wanted to put 3 600-watt bulbs above the plants, and was thinking 1 below. The plants are kind of cramped together in a closet and hardly any light gets through the top canopy. Could lighting below cause any problems to the plant? I would make sure the bottom branches don't get too close to the light, or too hot, and that they don't touch the ground. I am wondering will this help the plant, or could it confuse them because of the lighting not coming from above them?

thank!

More light is always better just as long as your temps arn't affected!!! Top or bottom light is light dude and plants love it!!!

Sounds like an accident waiting to happen... careful you don't spill any water or nutes. Boom, zap.

Very true. I had a mister spray a 600w and boom. Glass particles and Sulfur over my crop. Had to trash the crop. Try to protect against accidents when you design your setup.
