I've decided on a 4" inline fan to cool my cab.

I'm currently stuck between two options - the 4" valuline seen here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/4-Valuline-Centrifugal-Inline-Exhaust-Fan-Vortex_W0QQitemZ400064146058QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5d25ae6a8a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

And the 4" vortex seen here:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/4"-VORTEX--INLINE-FAN-DUCT-EXHAUST-BLOWER-HYDROPONIC_W0QQitemZ350115745779QQcmdZViewItem

The valuline fan runs at .97 amps/110 watts while the vortex runs at .65 amps/80 watts. Both move 170cfm.

I can save about $35 going with the valuline, but it appears the vortex is more efficient.. should I just shell out the cash for the vortex or is it not worth the extra money?

my vortex is preety loud and im going 2 have 2 add hella ducting 2 it or something 2 hush it up
is it any louder than a bathroom fan?

i'm going to mount it on the top of the cab and was considering making a stealth cardboard box full of acoustic padding and mounted via bungee cords to the closet shelf above.

the site says it runs at 50db, if i can do a decent job wrapping it/concealing it i bet i can drop 10db, which i think will be just fine.

im thinking of getting one of those fans you think it would work better at cooling a hid? or have them set up to do a intake and exhaust set up?

man, i'd just set up a PC fan aimed at the bulb to cool your HID (if you don't have an air cooled hood).

this beast is going to cool my whole cab, i'd hate to waste so much power on just the light.
