Have you turned to 12/12 yet? You cant tell as of now, but male and female plants share those parts.

Well i think roughly 7-8 weeks old , the lights are timed at 18/6. Some one told me to leave them on 24/7 but just left it the way it is

Depends, you could switch now, or wait a little bit until it gets a little taller, I switched my plants at about 2 foot tall. What are you using for lights?

I have olny got it under 2x 100w clfs , for the first 4weeks the plant was only growing on the window sill! So its only been under lights for about 4 weeks and its only been given water no nutes!!!!

Hmm, well, its up to you, Id switch to 12/12 now. Your not going to get too much with 2 cfls, but youll get something. Keep me updated whatever you decide to do.

really you can flower as small as 8 inches but you wont yield a whole lot so yours should be fine... if you are only using two cfls make sure that when you start flowering you are using warm whites such as 2700k or 3000k color temperature with up to a 30% amount of daylight bulb such as 5000k or 6500k. for example if yu have a 70w 2700k or 3000k you could supplement that with a 30w 5000k or 6500k. you can get a 3 pack of 42 watters cheap at walmart and that will help you with your lumen output. you should probly have at least 5000 lumens for flowering per plant if its not possible for you to have more.

you could use tube lights instead of cfls they are only slightly cheaper and dont give off a ton of lumens unless you get T5 high outputs and then they cost about the same as cfl... if you are looking to stay cheap cfl is the way to go... what kinda budget yo talking about? try this site... buylighting.com they have some decent deals on cfls and tubes. you may be able to find cheaper ones somewhere on the internet but this is where i went for my lights a few days ago and got a good price on decent power bulbs. instead of buying a reflector hood and socket online or at a grow shop i just went to walmart and bought a cord and light socket and wired it myself, cost on ly five bucks or so for the parts and i will soon fashion some sort of reflector for them as well. do you have a grow box or is it open or closet? if you have a grow box just paint the inside with falt white wall paint or get a roll of mylar online (around 13 dollars US) mylar is 90-99% reflective and flat white wall paint is around 70% reflective.... probly shouldnt use foil even with cfls and its max is about 55% reflection completely smooth, wrinkled it gets lower and lower average about 30% and may cause hots spots and uneven lighting.
