Getting over the jitters...

Been here for a while reading through the sea of knowledge that is RIU. Just now getting past the jitters to finally register, and post, so I figure this is the place to break the ice.

So the ice is broken.

I don't know how quickly I'll be jumping in, but I noticed the sweet smell in the air; I may hang back a little more and enjoy the reading and everyone's stories.

Thanks RIU for having me, and thank YOU for your time.

Just ask away. Don't worry about the question asked, all need answers. :weed:

I am currently on my first plant. She is doing great! Over 3 feet high, no problems at all.
I just noticed the little white things beginning to form and after a few days, moved her to an upstairs closet for the 12/12 routine.
My question is...is it a bad idea to physically move your plant upstairs and downstairs, at that height, 2x a day?
I started growing her on a whim...no miracle grow, no super light system, and since she is in our mudroom, which is like a greenhouse, she grew and grew, was really surprised..

It could possibbly be bad, it could stress her and turn her hermy. But there is no gurantee what it would do.. Woohoo 3' tall your gunna be a happy camper pretty soon :hump:

Yeah it's not a good idea. You can bump her top or have a mishap.
Use Garden sticks and put them in the container with 6" sticking above her so that way you bump the stick and not her top. Also if you happen to break a limb, just tape it togther useing any tape you ahve close by. Accidents happen when moving plants around.

Our mudroom, which is like a greenhouse, has AMAZING light, but I don't know what to do for the darkness needed. All glass on one side, glass on the top, no way to "tape" it up...should I just leave her where she is?

Some people use the Trash Bag method, where you place a black bag over to force flower.

if you leave her in your mudroom or outside she will probably flower because its almost natural flowering time anyways

or you could set up a cfl light fixture in your closet and give her perfect 12/12
