Hey everyone I have a room (9)x(21)x(8) and am not sure on how to go by this I was thinking 4 1000 watt hps lights each on there own 6' light mover in this case I was thinking that each 1000 watter would cover a 5x7 area to gimme space to walk around also in the room 2 exhausts a 8" and 6" and 2 intakes a 8" and 6" for continuous air circulation. As for fans Ill have 4 wall mounted 16" oscilating fans and 4 floor oscilating fans. Conected to the 8" and 6" exhausts each will have there own carbon filter to eliminate smell. My real question is Is 9x21 perfect for this lighting system and is the air circulation gonna be good enough to handle all these lights in terms of heat

How many times are you going to ask the same questions? Do some of your own homework, get a book & read up. Figure out your square footage for optimum light/plant arrangement. Figure out your total heat output per lamp x 4. What is the CFM of your ventilation? Etc....

Do something for yourself instead of asking the same basic questions over and over.

Try the FAQ - lots of reading there with out rehashing the same shit & cluttering up the site with redundant and repetitive babble.

If you dont have anything positive to add to the thread why waste your time in posting? SO WHAT if he asked the question multiple times maybe he just wants to make sure he has the right plan before he goes out and spends $10,000 worth of equipment.

Were you planning on using hydro or soil.

with
9 x 21 x 8 put into it.

I suggest you use the electrical calculator too for a room that size.

Minimum Lighting 25 watts Per Square Foot
Lighting
The minimum recommended lighting for your area is 4725 watts
Ventilation
The minimum flow rating of your fan should be 1260.0 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM)
Power Requirements
This setup will require 25.6 amps to be available at all times for safest operation*
Optimum Lighting 40 watts Per Square Foot
Lighting
The optimum reccomended lighting for your area is 7560 watts
Ventilation
For optimum ventilation the flow rating of your fan should be around 1386.0 Cubic Feet per Minute
Power Requirements
This setup will require 41.0 amps to be available at all times for safest operation*
Maximum Lighting 60 watts Per Square Foot
Lighting
The maximum reccomended lighting for your area is 11340 watts
Ventilation
Going this way you will require a fan with a flow rating of at least 1638.0 Cubic Feet per Minute
Power Requirements
This setup will require 61.4 amps to be available at all times for safest operation*
Additional Comments
Getting to these points and or over it is highly reccomended the grower use Co2 in their room as your plants will only be able to photosythesise a certain amount of light before needing a Co2 boost to benifit

Hey great white north if you dont have anything positive to ad to my thread than dont bother sayin anything at all just makin yourself look like a dick. So i plan on using soil for the grow my biggest question is if my 1000 watt light is on a 6 foot track whats the total square footage just 1 light will cover. In your opinions whats the perfect size room for 4 1000 watters each on there own 6 foot tracks

This is what i'd prob do - split the room in 2, run 3 x 1000s or 4 x 600s in each room, what ever gives best cover. Buy a flip flop box so u can run the 1st half room for the 1st 12hrs then it will flip to the other room (thats been in dark for the last 12hrs) for the other 12hrs. that way u can run 6 x 1000s or 8 x 600s of 3 or 4 ballasts depending what wattage u go for. It will save u money with power bill and u only need to buy half the ballasts. now saying this u will need at least a BIG A/C & Dehumidifier, deffinatly CO2. u will also need to think about how your going to supply water to the area and power, for the op prob around another 30 -40amps to be safe. Then u need to decied if your gonna go hydro, aero, soil, what medium what nutes. you will also need some serious odor control and some fans that near blow u over when they are on. If i were u 'd prob start just using half the room for now til u get things dialed in then expand.
