Hell ya buddy!

Just checked for roots and I found one clone with a nice thick, healthy looking white root sticking out of the peat pellet. And its not even one of the better looking clones. So I am pretty sure they mostly all have roots and just haven't poked out yet so I can see them:peace:
typically vegetative growth goes through a hard time when a cutting is establishing roots... good sign mate! :D

HELL Yeah.....

Roots and music..... :)

@ Jesse & Dragon:

It's so funny that you guys mention that you've been growing all sorts of things for years whereas before a year and a half ago I had never grown a single plant of any sort in my entire life. I still never had any problems transplanting either though. ;)

Funny thing is, even though I can grow some pretty good weed now, I still couldn't grow anything else to save my life! :leaf:

So lets take a look at where we started, shall we?

Here are the clones about 5 days or so after I got them. Their previous owner was quite the neglectful parent. The BB is back right, HB front right, and the other three are the Skunks.

About 4-5 weeks later under 1000 watts of MH, in some primo soil, with some oh-so-tender love and care, here is where we are at today!

BB - twice FIMmed

HB - single FIM

The best skunk plant (SK #2)

It's impressive stalk (IMO)

BB front left, HB front right, SK #1 middle left, SK #2 middle right, SK #3 back right.

BB - 22"
HB - 18.5"
SK #1 - 19"
SK #2 - 18.5"
SK #3 - 19"

I took 2 BB, one HB, and one SK #2 clone outta the dome today and put them in some dirt, as they all had nice roots poking out. Once I get a SK#1 & 3 clone rooted, I am gonna give everything one week. Then the new clones will move to the new veg chamber and everything else with be switched to flowering.

Things are really getting exciting around here for me! Everything is proceeding along as planned! WELL, let me know what you think! Check out the slide show, as I attached some more pics that I did not put above! :-)

Big J :leaf:

EDIT: Somehow, I managed to put two of the same pic, for two different pics. Sorry. I blame it on my stoned ass. :wall:

WOW..... man, that is just insane how nice those plants look. Such a lush little forrest you've got going on there.

The plants in the white pots... what are they again? Seedlings? The ones in the dome are clones from the clones right? Sorry if I'm lost, you just have a lot of nice looking plants going on in there.

Are you feelng overwhelmed at all? Not sure why I ask... I'm just having issues thinking abuot my new setup, 4 dwc's is so much more complicated than 1. There is definitely something to be said for soil.

Way to go on everything. They look all SOOOOOO good. And it looks like the Fim'ing has done really good things. Nice.

Jig, hey brother thanks for stoppin by. Yeah, those ones in the white containers are barb seedlings (same strain as my previous grow). So we will see how many girls I end up with!

I really appreciate your kind words. I am oh so happy with my results so far, glad you think they look well also. I can't say I am feeling overwhelmed. But I don't have as much thinking to do as you either.

Yeah, the FIM really worked well on the BB. It is so nicely shaped, just a little wider than it is tall. I am so excited! Thanks again! :peace:

Hulk better late than never buddy and you have only missed the veg so no big deal there! Great to have you along!

ur plants are looking great..how much more veg time?
Welcome to my grow!

Today, I took the last four clones from the domes and put them in dirt. Only one of them had grown roots through the pellet for me to see, but I am convinced they all have roots but one (the second HB clone). If I am right, I will have a nice HB clone, 3 nice BB, and 2 nice of each of the three skunks. So once I flower them all out, I SHOULD have a healthy mother of each kindr ready to go! Then I will just have to choose which 3 mothers to keep...

So 7 days from today I am switching to 12/12. This will give me time to veg out the new clones for a bit as well as set up the temporary little ghetto veg chamber for the clones.

Oh, one last thing. Exactly 14 days to the day since I transplanted, I found roots sticking 2-3" out of the bottom of the BB's 6 gallon pot! :hump:

Hey man, everything looks great j!

I really am curious about fimming, and think I may have to do it, because your fimmed plants look amazing my friend.

Ill attempt some rep, but I think RIU might yell at me as well...
Thanks Sticky I appreciate your support man.

If you really want to try FIMming, then just google "FIM, rollitup.org" and poke around. You should find some great stuff!

-------------------------------------------------------------

So I went shopping today:

400 watt MH ballast (Sun Systems)
Harvest Pro Classic, 6" reflector with tempered glass
6" 340 CFM inline fan
Lumber
100 square feet panda film
Timer
A few other odds and ends...

And the result.....a newly constucted 3' x 3' x 5.5' veg chamber! This will be plenty of space to house my three mothers and clones! As of tomorrow, I will be finishing the setup which involves some further light proofing, adding a 4" passive intake, and lowering the lights a bit! Then I will give the other plants 24 to 36 hours of darkness (not sure yet), and begin flowering everything except the clones I just took!

Pics of everything tomorrow! I just finished the project for the night so its bong hits and bedtime my friends! :peace: and :leaf:

So I ran into a bit of a snag here when constructing the veg chamber...

Everything was done and fine, or so I thought...

Turns out, 340 CFM as an exhaust for 54 cubic feet can actually snap 1.5" x .75" wood. I can't say I know what kind of wood it is, but I think I would be hard pressed to snap the stuff with my hands...its fairly strong. The tent didn't collapse or anything and it is up and running and in use.

I have just been very busy, unexpectedly so. Anyways, since I just flipped to 12/12 and am using my other 6" 340 CFM fan to cool the 1k light AND running atop the carbon filter....

At the end of the month, I plan to buy a 4" fan and use that for exhaust, then take my 6" and cool the lights with it. Should allow me to get them even closer to the plants.

I will put some pics up when I have time...Genius me....:spew:

you mean the tent sucked in and broke???

how big is your intake?

Seems you should be able to let some more air in and decrease the pressure...

I put in a 4" passive intake with a small section of 4" flex ducting, so I could put a bend in it and make it light proof.

I was told that for passive intake you use 2" smaller than your exhaust.

Was someone blowing smoke up my ass at 340 CFM?

Should I put in a 6" intake?

It didn't break exactly...the wood snapped in two areas and the tent bowed in.

I used zip ties and additional wood to create for strength and support on those two sides and now its fine. I do plan to build a new tent though, also at the end of the month.

On a side note, what's the best way to light proof a(n): tent entry, exhaust and intake ports, and a port for the cords?
