1000w resonates too much heat

i have a problem. i have a 52 inchx2 ft space (8ft in hight) w/1000w hps flowering 7 whiteberry 12' plants. my lamp is contained within a 6 inch tube thats connected to a blower. still, the temp is way too hot. i tried making my own airconditioner by using an ice-chest, tubing, a pump, and copper tubing to fit the 6inch diameter of the duct but the temp is still really high. should i just open the light proof room during the 12 hours or light and seal it close every night? i think that's what it's going to come down to. this way my home airconditioner will help the temp. what do you all think?

Do whatever it takes to get the temp down. Just opening and closing the lightproof room will definitely help however, you have to be there to seal up the room every night, which takes a bit of discipline. Letting the light in longer than 12, a few times during a grow can cause you other problems.

i'm going to transfer the airconditioner to the window where my intake duct is at. i'm thinking about buying a fitting that converts the 6 inch duct to a 4in x 6in rectangular opening to suck the airconditioner's cold air directly into the grow room. is the direct cold air from the airconditioner bad for the plants?

I wouldn't blow the air directly at the plants, rather just into the room in general to get ambient temps down

I always open up my stuff while the lights are on and close it at night. 1000K seems like a lot of power for about a 4.5X2 grow area.
