Hey all... I just started growing outdoors and I have some nice looking plants, but it has been almost 2 months and no bud at all? My plants are more than 3 feet high in some areas. What did I do wrong? Can you help me out?

What's your lighting? 12/12 will trigger flowering. If its still under 16-18 hours lighting it won't flower.bongsmilie

He's growing outside, so his light cycle is dependent on the sun =)

OP: You'll have to wait til the nights get longer before you see any real flowering action. Depending on where you live, this should be going down pretty soon.

I've read cannabis takes about six months to complete it's life cycle outdoors. I can't confirm this but I'm sure someone will come along who knows for sure.

u wait till the right time of year, close 2 a month from fall i think then u force flower by covering them and away u go, or u can leave them grow until nature takes its course, if u do that ide imagine u shold be getting some nice yeild of them, good luck. bb x nl

Hey thanks guys... I guess I'll wait a while longer. First I thought I wasnt getting enough light and now it seems I may have too much. Just concerned that the longer the plants may take to bud, the more chance they will get spotted or die?

Thanks

I began force flowering my Northern Lights girl this past Monday...already seeing significant signs of buds...
Just put them in darkness or cover them with a large garbage can two hours prior to darkness. Uncover them when it's dark...so they're only covered for a coupla hours. This triggers the flowering response. But remember, you must remain diligent enough to keep up this strategy for the duration of flowering phase, or at least until the night fall hits around the same time you would cover your plants.

This is the risk all of us growers take. If you're not comfortable with the risk, don't grow.:peace:
