i went to my spot today and noticed some dead leaves on a bud then i remembered this thread and then instantly spread the bud apart and i a little nest of webs was a green worm which i then pulled out. thanks fdd
That Bt stuff is Ok to spray on your buds?...i just found another one. once again it seems the Bt is working. i can't find the actual caterpillar but i find the damage. i clipped it off and was digging thru it to find the worm when a single seed popped out. nice. i pollinated another plant and it looks like a little pollen got blown around. new mystery seed for next year.

I had never even heard of "bud worms" before (having mostly grown indoors.) Are they all over the US? I am in Oregon and have one plant outdoors. Guess that gives me one more thing to worry about.
