not a lot of juice in those when pulling through a filter, you could save $10 and just buy a stanly blower

check that out would that be good for on top a cab for exhaust (in between wall) and have maybe a carbon filter on the other side. so its pulling air through on the top of the cab and blowing it out through maybe a diy carbon filter. advice please:peace:
One word, two actually, "static pressure"

That fan will move air without static pressure, but a carbon filter cuts the flow in half, even on a good centrifugal blower.

Trust me you want an in-line blower, not a duct booster.

any reliable sites? htg i've heard good and bad about, but idk where else 2 go. thinking 4 in inline/carbon filter combo to go with 250w hps (or 400w if the 4 in will cool it effectively) with euro reflector. fan will pull air from room through the reflec. and through the carbon filter. sound aight? space will probably be 2x2 or 2x3 and i'm not sure what would be the min to max height range

Well if you are a diy kinda guy, then building your own will save you some money. There are a million diy cooltube threads out there, the one you posted was the first one i made, and although it worked well it was more a pain than the other and cost most (pvc), try searching google for diy cooltubehttp://www.google.com/#hl=en&ei=sU50SsG6MZiRtgeVsdmWCQ&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=diy+cool+tube&spell=1&fp=ofkW3iX_O-Q, then after youve looked at a lot of ideas youll be able to make one thats best for you. As far as the fan you could try the stanley blower mod, only $50, worked for my 400
