So check out the difference 6 gallons of soil and 1 week makes...

The first pic is 7 days ago today when I transplanted and the rest were taken today about 20 minutes ago! Thanks to JigFresh for his help posting!

Let me know what you all think! See any difference? ;-)

I have a goal of about 4'z per plant for the 5 big girls. How much more veg time do you guys think I am looking at?

Well I am pretty stoked with the progress I have to say! Get back to me!

damn, that is some really amazing growth. lets see them try to get root bound in those pots, fuckin A.

I would be stoked with that progress too. The plants look real nice, real happy.

I would guess around 4 more weeks of veg to get them big enough for 4 zip each. Nice round numbers.
Well I don't have that long to wait. So we will see, huh? :leaf:

Dude, those six gallon pots will surely pay off. I would love to use them, but with the amount of plants I grow in my space it just isn't possible.
Yeah its going to be a challenge to fit them all in there and still keep the lights within 18 inches of all the plant tops! I agree, I think they will pay off big time, even if it cost me $40 in soil and $15 in containers...

Hey man thanks, good to see ya again. I am pretty stoked with their growth. They are all growing at a rate of .75-1" per 24 hours.

The guy at my hydro shop told me I need better drainage. He says you should get more run off and the plants should dry out quicker for the next feeding, quicker than the 4 days its taking me at 3/4 of a gallon if feed per plant.

Thoughts?

bullocks. The way these babies are growing I wouldent do a thing. BUT, If you wanted to do something for the next grow, you could always throw in some perlite which helps with drainage tremendously , and at the same time it helps retain water and nutes :D

just some food for thought :D

+rep brother
That's my plan exactly man! Thanks for the rep! I will give it back if I can!

I edited the post a little, but the prinicple is the same. I think your grow is going great man.

I would say go check out the growth of my baby mango plant,l but the camera broke 2 days ago :(

were up to 10 leaves growing though...this baby is gonna take off soon!
Yeah I have been watching! Haven't had too much to say, which is good, cause I tend to ignore success and point out problems ;-)

What ever happend with this ^

;) hahaha, Just curious to how the transplant effected growth...id love to try something new...

with the mango, I just started in a 3 gallon pot....so no transplant ever :D

EDIT - I saw the post where you said you had new growth a day after

Im defiantly gonna try this transplant method :D
Well I got kinda lazy and only measured each plant in one spot. No one asked so I didn't wanna be an ass...

Since you did....15 hours after transplanting, here were the results...

BB - 1/8" new growth
HB - 1/4"
SK 1 - 1/8"
SK 2 - 3/8"
SK 3 - 1/8"

Jesus, im actually excited to see how quick this mango shoots up as well...with 10 leaves already and its only 2 inches tall...fuuuuck

Keep it up man ;)
Yeah I will be watching your grow! :leaf:

-----------------------------------------

So the BB plant just got its second FIM. I am getting such awesome, branchy growth from all the plants! I have new branching shooting up through the interior of the plant toward the light from my older branches! I am SO not used to vegging under 1k MH. This is BADASS!

This BB already has tons of branching and I cannot wait to see what it does in response to this FIM, now that most all the growth points have gone out wide enough to be in the light, I hope they will jog straight up and provide a more even canopy for the plant! :peace:

I will post some pics here in a few days when I get my new computer.

EDIT: So I FIMmed the hashberry as well to promote some more branching. It, along with the BB were the tallest plants, so hopefully the skunks catch up :-)

see, i never Fimmed due to sometimes it leading to crazy retarded growth patterns...but from how it sounds, its working out perfectly for you...maybe i should give it a go instead of topping...hmmm
The FIM worked out well for me when I did it to the BB plant the first time.

As the top healed and started growing upward again, the lack of fully formed fan leaves has really opened up the center of the plant, while making the branches bush out quite nicely.

The more I sit and stare at the progress, the more thrilled I am! :leaf:

Nothing is exciting like sitting around watching plants grow.

Glad things are moving along so well for you.

Me dose! Thanks Jig!

I have been spending a lot of time with my girls lately. It's been so hot that I have needed to stay cool in the AC. I even put a king size bed in there and started sleeping in the room. So needless to say they are getting lots of CO2 from me, two other adults, and two pets! :leaf:

For some reason....... transplanting has never been an issue for me..... I don't really see how it causes problems for people...... oh well....

Booh.....

aha! I have found your secret garden..... and all that comes with it....... :P

glad too lookin good ;)
Hell ya man I am excited to have you along!

Thanks a lot for the kind words too! It will be great to have your knowledge and attitude along the way!

Oh yeah, I still am gonna come see your setup here, momentarily.

Yeah I'm not sure, me neither. :peace:

I learned from an old hippy-turned high school hort teacher. Never had an issue! :leaf:

been growing one thing or another my whole life...... lots behind that story though..... good upbringing :D
I can relate to that! Same here!

--------------------------------------------------

So today I transplanted the barb seedings from 16oz cups to 1 gallon containers. I had to rig up a ghetto little mini-stadium on one side to even out the canopy. I think you guys will be impressed though

The BB and HB have both taken well to the FIM. They are getting nice braches and good bushing. The 3 Skunks continue to grow well, with one of them having developed a relatively massive stalk :-)

My clones have yet to root at 9 days in now, which is annoying. But they look healthy and I expect at least 90% success. Once they root I plan to put them in some dirt and give them a week or so to veg alongside the rest of the ladies while I get the veg chamber constructed, as it will be their ultimate home as my new mothers and a great step forward in my progress!

Then it will be time to flip the switch to 12/12 for the big clone mini bushes and the 2 bagseedlings and the other barb seedlings!

Well anyways, I have rambled along but good news! Especially for Jig...I got a new computer and so I will post some new pics of the fresh transplants and the progress the 5 big 6 gallon girls have made!

I am stoked for this grow and for you guys to be along for the ride! Its awesome to have such new rad people alongside the friends from earlier days! :peace:

What did you put the cuttings in?

Have you let the rockrool/jiffy etc. dry out sufficiently?

Did you get any airbubbles in the stems when you made the cuts??

Pics are always nice..... :peace:

Sounds like things are really getting into action around there. You're going to be swimming in it when you harvest everything.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this all turns out. These grows of ours should be really good now that we know a little bit about what we're doing, not that we don't have a long way to go.

Nice job on getting a computer... now you just need to post some pics and all will be right with the world (haha, you don't get any breaks).

hope you are having a good weekend brother.

I am cloning into peat pellets and you are most assuredly spot on in your diagnosis of why they are taking longer. I have kinda babied them a bit too much.

No airbubbles, but I am sure there have gotten a little too much lovin' to realize it's time to root. But, some of them were small with a much less developed stem than I would have liked and I REALLY want them to survive. I think I will let them dry out a bit more.

I will post some pics sometime today or tomorrow for sure. I can tell they are gonna root. I can see down into the peat pellets along the stems of some of them and I have root bumps everywhere. The growth points are splayed out horizontially (opened up), as opposed to being closed (like a flower retreating into itself at night). So I am optimistic, but still have a long way to go before I can claim to be a cloning master :peace:

Thanks for youe support Jig. I will get you some pics up before too long I hope!

I think you are right though. For once, I really feel like I am in the driver's seat 100% with this grow. Knock on wood. ;-)

Hell ya buddy!

Just checked for roots and I found one clone with a nice thick, healthy looking white root sticking out of the peat pellet. And its not even one of the better looking clones. So I am pretty sure they mostly all have roots and just haven't poked out yet so I can see them:peace:
