Total square footage for 1000 watter on 6' Track

Hey I was wondering what the total square footage for a 1000 watt hps on a 6' Track would be I was thinking an 8x5 space any help would be great

6 ft track gives you a 4' x 10' foot print

1000w lights up a 4 x 4 FP, so a 4' track should light-up an 8 x 4 FP

That would work. I have seen literature from some of these reflector manufacturers claiming a 1000w light can cover a 12'x12' area. I'm not so sure about that. You will want to make certain you have enough ventilation though, that 1000w lamp will heat up that space in no time. I'd say go for it.

I just purchased an Adjust a wing reflector and digital ballast for a 600w, and that reflector is super bright with a killer light spread. I am using the hot spot diffuser under the lamp. Although it is an open design ref. so there is no way to isolate and directly vent heat from light, it does not get much hotter than the closed 400w light I had in there. I put a 7600 btu window ac in to help keep my ladies comfortable.

That sounds like a good plot or should i go 9 by 21 to give myself some place to walk around. Also in the room will be 2 exhaust a 6 and 8" and 2 intakes a 6 and 8" 4 wall fans and 4 floor fans anything im missin in there to help my room let me kno if that sounds good
