just settin up a new room.... got 2 1000's with inline cooled hoods on a pro-trac mover. it has a 0-60 s delay for pausing at the end, and is completely adjustable to allow for even light distribution over the grow area. prob use the full 6' rail, and with a little overlap at the ends, should cover an 8'x8' area. and ducting set up on each end and in between. should be able to buzz them within inches of the plants...i'll be postin pics in a new journal within the month...

lower the rpm, the more weight it can support. i think they told me when i bought mine that the 10rpm could support 1 or 2 lights, and the 6rpm could support 3 or more. I have 2 1000's, i went with the 6rpm just to be safe...
I got mine from canadian wholesale hydro, so i'm not too sure where u should get urs. ebay prob has some good deals

I hope you got the link as it was for a 6 rpm motor and track and hardware and for $165 and it was not easy to find and it was not a 10 RPM and it was not worth my time finding it. Peace Rudys!

back on topic...light rails elongate to coverage,so work good for recangle shaped grow areas.you can cover 12x8 w/ a 1000 and get the same amount of light to the plants as a fixed light 8x8 because of the light being closer to the plants.with air cooling,6-8 inches is pretty close with a 1000. i bought a 6' solar shuttle for my old setup and never ended up using it.it pauses for about 15 sec on the ends.i dont need it, so if you want it shoot me a pm tallis.has been installed,ut never used beond testing (couple hours).
