Thanks all for the comments, I am beginning to feel really good now with people commenting and reading along. I know I can be winded at times and ramble on and on. Ok today is the 24th and I finally got off my butt and got some new pics this morning. The girls are doing pretty well Mary & Jane are doing I think great for the weather that we have been having the past week or so. They have slowed their growth to a crawl now that they are starting to flower 6 days now. Here it usually takes 12 or more weeks for them to finish totally with the sun. The days although shorter now and damn I wish I could keep track of time like they do. I am about 8 or 9 degrees north and there is only 15 minutes difference between the longest and the shortest day. LMAO but start a seed now and I promise by the 4th week she is showing sex, the good news is I can start on the 21st of December and grow a monster tree. So you take the good with the almost good. In the pics today you will see the two that I FIMMed and the one little girl I must not have done it correctly because she is still not grown out of it, poor thing. The other was done without smoking and is turning out better, lol maybe a little cause and effect. They both are starting to show signs of sex and being females. As long as the one I call superseed grows out and I can pollinate her bottom three or four branches I will be happy beyond belief. The loving wife has the new camera in the mail so if all goes well with the pony express down here I might get it this time next week and can have some decent pictures. I am also including a couple of the view of my back yard so you know more about the weather and about living in paradise at 6,500 feet. Hope you all enjoy......and Green yes I am partial to sativa, I am just now starting to grow sativa with indica to get a bit fuller bush but with the weather here, lots of rain, wind and humidity the sativa have better airflow and I don't have a mold problem. Thanks all for reading.

Well I went out to the greenhouse this morning to check on the girls and when I opened the door I was greeted by the lovely scent of fresh pine and skunk.......yeeee haaaa. The girls are doing well and the bud sights are starting to get a bit thicker each day. All I can say is that this year I am happy to have the greenhouse for them as the weather as been consistently no higher than the high 60's. The girl I still refer to as superseed, since I don't know the strain other than it came from Nirvana, is showing preflower. I only bad part about that is that I FIMMed it and now it is doing the preflower and hasn't recovered from my butcher job. Oh well she is coming out of it but what the outcome of this attempt will be is unknown.......lol. Still don't have roots on most of the clones, they are showing preflower now also, just my luck this grow. They are starting to show the nodes where the roots should start, time will tell.

Can we get some eye candy?

Ahhhh, Sunday mornings aren't they just great the only day to sleep in and I get up the same time to play in the compost pile.......lol. I just moved it from close to the house down to the greenhouse area. Today I turned it good by moving it and added last years soils to it. I had dried those soils out since last October, emptied all the old containers from flowers, rootings and what have you, a general clean up of the garden area. I added about 50 gallon container worth of fresh grass clippings, several dozen egg shells crushed up, all kitchen scraps for the week, lots of tomato chucks, banana peels and some rotten bananas, lettuce scraps, onion peels and a good dose of horse manure tea.
In the past I have always used more cow manure and rabbit manure for my teas but this year both are in shorter supply. I must say that I am happy with the results I have seen in my girls, just always remembering that it is much easier to burn with the horse. LOL the village I live in all get a good laugh with me walking the roads and scooping up the horse and cow manure carrying my shovel and bags. I have been told it is somewhat of the village joke that this crazy American is out picking up shit again......lol....Organics down here is not very common and I have slowly shown them over the course of the last three years what can be done organically. Granted I have a few more bugs than before but included in that is a whole host of the good bugs and I have many more birds, hummingbirds and butterflies now. Well, I just on with the subject at hand, the girls Mary is now 23 inches tall and Jane is 21 inches tall at the end of their first week of flower. The growth has slowed down this week but for the flowering stage I am very happy with their progress and the amount of flower they have put on, they also have grown the lower branches a lot this week and just filled out more than I expected. These girls have a bit more indica in them showing this than I am accustomed to so still a little amazed at their fullness at this point in time. The two smaller girls are now 8 and 9 inches. the 8 inch girl, yes showing preflower well right now, superseed until I think of a good name for her, any suggestions welcomed. I hope to get a few more pics up today, but it is coffee and smoke break after moving the compost pile...:joint::mrgreen:

lookin good mines comin along as well
Yours are looking good better than mine actually, my clones are just starting to root, whew I was getting worried. I think I am going to go to 24/0 on the clones right now and try and switch off that preflower and get them wanting to root and veg...so I brough them inside under a desklamp cfl to get them to root better and to keep them under light. Mary is still growing pretty well although I am waiting for that to slow down as she has just finished her first week of flower, she topped off at 24 inches this morning and poor Jane is at 21 1/2 but putting on nice little buds for a week. I will post pics tomorrow, I have to catch the bus to town this afternoon....yeah I am rural in Latin America, no chickens seen on the bus that past 3 years though.....lol, just about everything else you can imagine.

Well, I finally got the ambition to take the laptop down to the girls this morning, I will be so happy when the pony express, or the guy on the motorcycle brings my camera.....LMAO yeah in out village the post office delivers the mail to the local store every time he has a full load to carry. So any day now it might be here. Sorry these pics are not the best with the bright sun out this morning, but hey we have sun finally. Mary is still stuck at 2' 2 inches, grew 1/2 and Jane is topping out at 25 inches this morning, she just keeps stretching out. I love the way the sativas grow, Mary has a bit more indica trait it seems and is growing a little more dense. Anyway the first three pics are Mary and the last 3 are Jane. I will get the other two plants' pics later today or in the morning. I am very happy with the way they are flowering right now this is day 10. I also will start leaving them outside at night if it doesn't look like rain or put them in the greenhouse with everything open to give them a small chill, hopefully this will induce a bit more flowering. Hope everyone enjoys.:joint::mrgreen:

Well I just couldn't keep my scissors away from them, triggered by the roots on the first clones I went out (lost in my own mind) studied the little ones and said "what have you got to lose these branches will never give more than a pipe full if you are lucky" so I took one off of Mary and two off of superseed. I haven't gotten any tips on names for the plants yet so the superseed I think I will call Linda (spanish meaning beautiful). Anyway these are very small clone cuttings, all I can do is hope and if they root then one of Linda clones I will put in with my male and let her have some fun and keep the other two pure for me......lol. Have a fatty and think good thoughts for clones, please. LMAO just looked at my desk and thought damn I have a nursery here.

I've been missing a lot here; but enjoyed reading over the pages I missed. I thought I had subscribed to this thread... but I'm definitely subscribed now. :eyesmoke:

What strain are mary and jane again?

I gave my clones some super thrive as per your recommendation, but it's not living up to it's name, or maybe it's the temperature swings, or the fact that they were ready to flower... The clones are still hanging on though, and they have plenty of time to catch up, before harvest time. :peace:

Green I was having trouble also with the rooting as they were in preflower. I put them under 24/0 and moved them inside where it stays about 70 and had roots in two days. Don't give up on the Super Thrive it will work, but that 1/8 tsp per gallon, wow. One drop really does work, I use to do the same thing though many years ago. glad that you are subscribed now, sure have enjoyed yours and the ladies are looking so good.:joint::mrgreen:

Thanks Canefan, I realized afterwards a 1/8 tsp may have been a little much, especially since roots are already starting. I also should've waited for he soil to dry out more instead of keeping them soggy. I'll water down the remainder and give them a second dose, maybe as soon as tomorrow.

Mary and Jane are indica leaning?

Mary is leaning a bit more into the indica, heavier inner branching and denser flowers. Jane is stretching more along the sativa lines which both have more in their background. I have a male that just pulled sacs off of today and curing them now for crossing with the clones of Mary and Jane. He also is mix with roots back to Panama Red but he is leaning to the indica side. Time will tell next year what is going to show up.....lol. I hope to reintroduce a more pure sativa next year.....I just like the way the grow and in our rainy climate I don't worry about bud rot nearly as much.

Interesting to watch folks grow different strains in different environments, and breeding intrigues me. I hope to be able to grow outdoors some day. Trees! lol :weed:

Today has been exciting and sad, the male gave up his last pollen sacs and they are drying that is the exciting part. The sad part is pulling him and then giving him a proper burial in the garden. I should have more than enough pollen now when they are dried to last into next year. Linda is doing well and getting bushier by the day, still think that I FIMMed her in correctly, will do it next time without the aid of the pipe....lol. Whatever I did to her she is branching out nicely now and will have pics on Saturday. The other two bigger ones Mary and Jane are slowing in height but putting on flowers nicely, hope my package gets here soon it has my molasses in there, sure can't find it down here. The clones are coming along nicely finely growing their roots and hope that continue their progress. thanks for all the views and comments..:joint::mrgreen:
