I had a heated disscussion

Hey,

I recently had an argument about the worth of hermi's. I dont really put any work into them, usually throwing them out when discovered.

The person arguing with me, said that they have enough thc to make hash out of. And that the plants should be kept for that purpose.

What are the thoughts of the forum?

There's no doubt that hermies contain thc in the female flowers and to a lesser extent, the trim.
I think the main reason for getting hermies out of your grow is the same as for males, to stop them pollinating your other plants.

I would have to agree that they aren't worthless and can be used for cooking/hash making etc. I guess you need a separate room so it doesn't pollinate your females though. Best of luck my friend.

It depends when the plant becomes a hermie. If it happens early in life the pollen from the male organs will pollinate the female organs and there won't be much thc coming out of that. If it happens later in flower you'd still have a few weeks for the plant to mature before the male parts would release any pollen, so it would probably be worth it then.
