on most cloudy days here in western washington i generate 1200-1300w/hr they are still pretty effective in power collection, i check the system every friday morning, this morning it was overcast as hell and i was putting out 1456w/hr

first off youve been anti-solar since you poped on this thread and second if you would read this post you would see that he does not have a 9K grow and he doesnt use 36 solar panels. You keep twisting the truth to try to make solar panels apear ineffiecient. We have provided enough information for you to see how worthy solar panels are... the other guy has the 9K grow and thats who we are recommending to use the solar panels and not you.

Mr. Doe has the 9K grow dude.

lol 1456 watt per hour..... how can that run the 9 k grow u spoke of above.....doesnt look too good of an investment to me so far.....

thats a miss quote.. yours quoting someone elses post along with something i said. And read up and youll see what i said about putting solar panels AND WIND TURBINES up. Unless hes running 24/7 which he said earlier hes going to start running 12/12 then a pallet of those solar collectors is enough to produce the power for these lights and the extra solar electricity collected can go to his batteries for later usage... whatever elese is needed then he can put up more solar collectors or some wind turbines.. but for starters i would get 2 pallets so that i can power my home and my grow

lol the only one confused is u.... i was not refering to his 9k grow im refer to this statement u made......

"215watts x 34panels = 7310Watts = 7.31 KW total which is enough to run an average size house which is enough to run a 9KW grow operation because the batteries will store the excess power and provide it back during the night. Also you can get power when the moon is out and bright "

im RECEPTIVE to solar power when it makes sense but when u say shit like that followed by this....

"i generate 1200-1300w/hr they are still pretty effective in power collection"

$30000 TO GET 1200-1300w/hr = DOES NOT MAKE SENSE

Your distorting the truth again.. its not 1200 watts its 7310 watts... your crazy dude.. get the facts straight

lol ur crazy.... any way u look at it if u get 1200 -1300 watts /hour from a $30000 investment ITS NOT WORTH IT..... and ur saying to get 2 pallets so....

$60000 to get an extra 2400-2600 watts = UR CRAZY .... why dont u just putt down on a house with that money and throw in 3 1000 watt lights for 500 USD MAX ....

anyone else wanna talk some sense to this kid....

The solar collectors will collect electiricty during the day with very minimal interference from clouds. During the night the wind blows harder then the day. Around 30 feet up the wind is blowing the hardest and this is where the wind turbine comes into hand. Do some research. My father told me that there is no such thing as a stupid question but there are some very stupid people. I tend to agree with him on this right now.

ok.... so question to u:

is it continous 7.31 kw's of power thats stored up , like could u get 7.31 kw's at night time....

& what happens when its been cloudy for a week ....

If you want to know if its continuous then do some research. I gave you the link to the owners manual so look thru it and quit asking me 100 questions about solar panels. I know you just want to find a flaw in my plan and expose it but there is no flaw. Get some panels and a turbine or two, put them in there place, and get some free electricty PLUS you wont get busted by the cops for haveing a big electric bill. That was the whole point of this but you lost touch and just wanted to hate on solar panels.

3 houses for 100K??? must be some pretty ghetto fabulous housing you have. 30K for over 7KW is a good price. If the guy runs a 9K grow 24/7 for 30 days then his bill will be $972/ month if hes charged 15cents/KWH. If he runs a 7KW grow then he will save $756/month.. that is a great investement because it would only take 3.5 years to have them paid off and then be collecting electricty for free.

tell the millions of people that buy solar panels there morons and i bet you will change your mind about these people

just accpet it, ur wrong.....

maybe in a few years when electricity is more expenisive and the technology for the solar panels and windturnbines improves it will be more of a viable idea... but for now only a moron would do that......

by the looks of ur pic..... the tiny shitty tv and ur shitty stretched out plant it seems to me like u are accustomed to living ghetto ........whats the problem.....

i may not be able to save the world but i can save my self from arrest by gettin solar panels and not being busted because i had a high water/ electric bill...

lol maybe there doing it to "save the world" and they have the money to get fancy..........

but for growing purposes its a retarded idea. period

i dont know why im arguing with this Level 1 person.. hes just a baby in this website... only posted 50 post and half those were in here talking to us about how bad solar panels are besides i would rather have a real stoner talk with some adult then a little kid that thinks he knows everything about solar panels when he really knows nothing about them

well as a matter of fact i have followed green earths grows once or twice and that "shitty streched out plant" was a male that he decided to keep as a house plant.
so take the time to go through some albujms and past threads and you might learn something

Why are you arguing back and forth about something that doesn't directly affect either one of you. Whether or not someone thinks these solar panels are worth it is in relation to the person buying them ONLY.

I think that buying a Ferrari is totally not worth it, but somebody that wants to get one might not think so.

Opinions cannot be forced upon someone.

(And how about we stop jacking this dudes thread)

spend the 100k on the panels, first time you harvest 3oz/plant off 100 plants and the things are paid for :P

At any rate, the OP mentioned that his investment into this project was only $100, his friend hooked him up with all the equipment. Anything he grows is gravy. And as long as he's paying his bill, the power company won't give a hoot (pun intended). The last 4 pages have been nothing but arguing the pros and cons of solar investment. Notice the OP hasn't chimed in in a while? It's because you guys have turned this beautiful grow thread into a debate (and mostly a joke). I had subscribed to this because of the information and "cool" factors, but at this point I'm going to pull the plug because I'm sick of getting notif's for your useless bantering.
