fox farm soil

i am using a reg potting soil peat moss and some one told me that it is good to fill up the bottom of your pot with reg. soil in the middle use fox farm ocean harvest or w.e its called and then the rest use reg soil again. is this good or bad what are the pros and cons?!

Just use an ocean forest / perlite mix all the way through. You don't need to get fancy with the soil like that.
