SO THIS IS OUR NEW GROW ROOM FOR 2 MONTHS AND A WEEK WE HAD OUR PLANT IN A BOX WITH ALUMINUM FOIL ONE PLANT IS 2 MONTHS AND A WEEK AND THE OTHER IS A MONTH WE HAVE THEM under daylight cfls .. we are goin to paint it flat white so the reflection of the light can bounce off...

and soon get a ballast.

is there anything else we should get or any comments on the grow room??

Is the white door leading to the garage or is it a front door? What part of the house is your grow room in?

I meant it in a security way (for you). I wouldn't expect anyone to tell me where the house is! So I didn't think the question was too inappropriate, but sorry :confused:

But to give you an idea of where I'm coming from...
I can't grow right now, and it will probably be a few years before I can (I've worked to hard to throw it all away. If I grow, it needs to be legal and 100% fool proof. That being said, there's no harm in starting to think about a good location for a grow... And in my opinion, growing next to the front door is probably not the best idea... That being said, next to the garage might not be too bad of an idea (depending on the traffic you get through there). But so far, I'm thinking of moving to a house with a basement... and making the door that leads to the basement disappear and put a bookshelf to cover the hidden door.... (sneaky sneaky)...

P.S. White Rhino is my FAVORITE strain! I looooove the smell (I swear it smells like teriyaki sauce or something sweet like that!) and I love the high!!! I've only got like half a gram left of Rhino... not sure when I'll ever be able to get more :(
If there's ANY justice in this damn world, one day i'll be able to have a few Rhino Plants... hmmm... that'll be the day! :weed::hug:

Anyway, I wish you the best with your grow! Take care of those ladies! And don't worry, you've got nothing but good karma coming from my end :peace:

Paint all the walls shinny white (or cover with mylar) to reflect more light onto different parts of the plants

Get reflectors for the light bulbs so you don't waste light (I've heard reflectors can increase light by like 700% in some cases)

Get a 400W Metal Halide lamp (for veg growth) and a 400w HPS (for 12/12 flowering)
-on a side note... I always read threads of HPS diehards or CFL rebels, but one day I'd like to have the MH or HPS, but ALSO CFLs spread in between the plants and on the sides of the plant that are opposite to the MH or HPS... Only thing to keep in mind is air circulation and high temps...

Make sure the CFLs are either 2700k temp or 6500K temp depending on Veg or Flowering


If you can seal the grow box (put a ceiling which can be somewhat air tight), and you could use CO2... either go the cheap way with the home-made yeast jars or whatever they use, or get a CO2 tank with an electronic controller an CO2 ppm meter


Get good nutes (lots of good lines... do a quick search)

Add some molasses when flowering... I believe its like 1 table spoon per gallon of water? (DO A SEARCH AND DOUBLE CHECK...)

hmm... I think that's all I can think of at the moment... Remember, the sky is the limit! the more $$ you have the more lights, co2, fans (to control heat from lights), nutes, etc, that you can add... Just make sure you keep the BALANCE... Too much of one factor and the yield suffers...
