Not sure if this should go in Grow Room Design, Indoor Growing, or Advanced Techniques, so feel free to move this if necessary.

I am looking for environment monitoring devices that can be hooked up to computer via USB. Things like thermometer (with remote probe, like a long wire thingy), pressure gauge (for high-pressure aeroponics), dissolved oxygen (DO) monitor, pH monitor, etc.

I would love to be able to log in from anywhere in the world, VNC into my computer, and check out the status. Check temps, make sure pumps are working, etc.

Also this would lead nicely into automation. For example the pH monitor, could then be used to control a dosing pump to dispense pH up/down... well I guess that's the only example I can think of lol!

So, where do I get my hands on these kinds of probes? Can't find squat on google...

So you ask for something, I show you that exact something, and you say you want something cheaper? If you can't even find probes on google you aren't up for the task of building one yourself son. You really shouldn't even look into buying one of those systems I linked you too, just setting it up is probably over your head. :spew:
