well, you are right to compare obama to Hitler and the us to Germany. Hitler burned the rishdag, bush planned 9-11. all in the name of getting the people behind the war.
hitler told the people to give up their freedoms for saftey and took both. we had the patriot act which was the same thing. now over 1000000 ppl are on the terror watch list.

Why can't this guy get a break from the right-wing in this country? The majority of people elected him to fix our country that was destroyed over the past 8 years of lobbyist--I mean, republican--reign.
Republicans have never been interested in what is best for the country, only what is best for a few special interest groups (oil, pharmaceuticals, insurance companies) who spend millions on lobbyists to bribe politicians to support their cause.
The unregulated free-market caused our current DEPRESSION. Why does everyone think the government running healthcare is bad? I don't have health care because I can't afford it. If they can provide me an alternative for less money, who are you to say its NOT IN MY BEST INTEREST? Is not having insurance in my best interest? I don't fucking think so.
How can you be sick of someone who is TRYING TO HELP YOU? Have any republican representative at any level of government ever tried to help YOU?

how can you say we are heading to tyranny? Obama has made repeated attempts to bridge both sides of the aisle and made numerous concessions to republicans in an attempt to solve the bigger problems plaguing our once-great nation.

He's been in office for 7 months.
Give the man a chance. There's a lot going on, and he's doing the best anyone could in his position.
I understand there is corruption and lobbying at all levels of government...really, I get it. But I think Obama is man of sound morals and has a brilliant mind between those big ears--if anyone can lead us from the cycle of corruption, its him!
You need to realize there IS something that can be done to break the cycle, and I have all faith that this man will try everything he can to do just that.

The unregulated free-market did NOT cause our current depression. The government caused this depression. Let me explain how. The government created the housing bubble that got us into this whole mess in the first place. Largely caused by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and when the government (democrats) made its way towards affordable housing. For instance the Community Reinvestment Act which forced banks to make a certain number of loans to minorities. The government kept pushing for lower standards for housing, lower interest rates. This caused more and more people who couldn't afford a home to buy them. The government was behind it. The government running healthcare is bad. The reason healthcare is so expensive, is because it is expensive. The second reason is because the consumer never pays for it. Someone else always pays for it. So who cares what it costs. If you or I had to pay for it out of our pocket, we would make sure they don't waste any of our money. A government alternative is not a bad idea, but they want to force healthcare upon everyone. Quality of healthcare will go down because everyone will just be grouped together. Sick and healthy. Do you know why the government wants to help you? They want to help you so that they have power over you. If you are not making decisions on where your money is spent, or where you get healthcare, the government is going to make them for you. They will tax you and take your money and spend it where they please. Don't you think you can take better care of yourself than the federal government? The thing is you give them an inch and they take a foot. When have we ever gotten rid of taxes or laws? They will only make more until we have nothing.
It is not the Federal Governments responsibility to raise you from cradle to grave.

I already pay taxes. If you live in this country, the government has a certain amount of control over you. The government already provides everything for you to live your happy FREE life...protection, social services, roads...
And the government did not force anyone to give out loans to people just because they are minorities...if someone has $10,000 and a minimum wage income, why would you give them a $250,000 loan for a house? The banks (and PEOPLE) issuing the loans should have used better discretion in determining who gets loans and who doesn't. The reason they didn't is simple...THEY ARE BANKS AND ARE OUT TO MAKE A PROFIT. If you give loans to people who can't repay them, they are in your pocket for life. Just like credit card companies...you have a $10,000 credit limit and a minimum payment of $15.00? You'll never pay off the interest, let alone the balance.

Really? I attend a public institution of higher learning. I receive federally funded loans because I have no income, which is because I'm a student. But I can't get federally funded insurance so I can go to the doctor?
What, Parker, am I supposed to do then? Where do I get money for private funded health insurance at a rate of $200/month MINIMUM?

Perhaps a better objection would be on the basis that you support is actions. Actions such as :
* Continuing Bush's Illegal, Unconstitutional Wire-Tapping, and granting the TeleCos immunity from lawsuits related to their violation of our 4th and 5th amendment rights.
* His lying about hiking tax rates on the poor with his cigarette tax hike
* His lying about hiking tax rates on the poor with his imbecilic support of a Carbon Tax. Don't breathe, the government is going to charge you for exhaling.
* His attempts to close Gitmo, despite the fact that it is isolate, and thus an ideal location to house terrorists. Closing it was not the best solution, providing better oversight, and ensuring that the guards at the facility were in accord with Geneva Convention regulations would have been better.
* Imbecilic attempts by Obama and Democrats to pass legislation that creates a new monopoly in Health Care by creating a Single Payer System, which would of course be contracted out to fortune 500 firms, thus costing the economy millions of jobs, but benefitting the contributors to the Democrats in those corporations.
* Continued sycophancy to every nation but the one that he is elected to be the leader of. Continued apologies for events so far in the past that they have no bearing on the here and now.
* Lying about his desire to be bipartisan, and revealing himself to be an extremist unwilling to work towards politicial compromise, a move that clearly demonstrates that he is likely to be a narcissist that believes that he knows more than everyone. (Never mind that the majority of the House, and the Senate have more experience then him, and are better qualified than he is.)
* Policies that reek of the disasterous intervention in the economy that at the best can be described as being unAmerican and at worse as being Naziesque.
* Lying about his desire to not have an administration full of lobbyists, when almost every person in his administration is a lobbyist.
7 Months, and it seems like an eternity, besides, if these first 7 months are a sign of things to come, then it has already been 7 months too long.

You obviously have been drinking Democrat Kool Aid way too long, because supply-side economics is not only accurate, but applies to more than tax breaks. It also applies to tax hikes.
If a company pays more taxes than the business man is going to fire some one, thus who pays the taxes? The person that got fired.
If a company chooses to raise prices for their goods to make up for the losses due to increased taxation, who pays the taxes? Consumers.
If a company chooses to cut its dividends in response to increase in taxation, then once again, it is the person at the bottom that is paying taxes.
Taxes, like Income trickle down, that is they flow from the production source to the consumption point, and those at the consumption point are those that ultimately are screwed by tax increases while benefitting from tax cuts.
