well some people grow according 2 moon phases

Indoors???????

"Crescent moon phase is when the best germination occurs and is a good time for thinning out seedlings to give room for the rapid growth that occurs at the next phase. Gibbous moon phase is when there is a greater uptake of nutrients from the soil, and swelling of fruits. Disseminating moon is an excellent time for seed setting and ripening. Balsamic phase is the best time for destroying weeds, pruning trees, and all preparation for the next cycle."

whats you guys thoughts on growing INDOORS according to moon phase.

I think growing indoors doesnt block gravitional pull according to moon phase tide.. Even though they r not directly exposed doesnt mean they are exempt..keep in mind gravity tells roots what direction to grow

I am not much of an indoor grower but gravity and the pull of the moon doesn't matter inside or out. I always plant my girls on the increase of the moon and root crops on the down side. I also start my seeds inside and I will show you the difference. These two plants are 6 or 7 days apart. One planted 2 days before the full moon,it is 10 inches today and the other 4 or 5 days going on the decease, she is only 3.5 inches. They are all in the exact same batch of soil and are grown next to each other.....Stay true to the moon man it will never let you down.....I will say I did the planting this year like this for my journal to show the difference throught the grow.:joint::mrgreen:

i saw that post and was curious as well. my plants have always grown regardless of the moon or gravity's pull, started at dif times with the same end results a plant that grew well. its cool to think of nature effecting nature and all but i say it dosnt matter

Drr.....you're not being a dick but the difference in height at the same days growth is a marked difference.......today at them being almost 6 weeks old and the smaller ones are still still only 4 to 5 inches tall and the others are at over 16 inches tall, 7 days does not make this much of a difference in height but planting on the moonphase will affect the plant this way.......if you were to pull the plant now the smaller ones would have a bigger root system for that size plant than the ones planted on the ascending moon.

That's pretty cool.. and I'll take your word for it.. Some pictures would be awesome... ;o) I will be trying this.. indoor and out when I get the chance.. I'm also going to follow this next year for my veg patch..

And like the guy with no space bar stated.. everything is connected to nature.. Agreed. mother nature is our true GOD and protector... not those invisible space god's... no offence to anyone's belief's.

Yeah, the plants are totally dependable on moon phases. You should also be facing east and throwing your seeds over your left shoulder, while standing on your right foot. :-)

Just germinate em, put em in soil end love em, man, everything will be just fine, if not awesome :-)

moon is there if we like it or not.. that explains why some plants have more vigor than others of the same strain

ok,here's my story on the subject: i went by the moon phases last year when i germinated, put in the ground, and harvested. after doing that all i can say is i don't think it makes as big a difference as some believe it does. but (before anyone gets mad for me dissing their beliefs) i do have to say it does affect some aspects. such as the fact that if u harvest during a waning moon (which basically means the moon after it gets full and starts getting smaller each night, and fyi waxing is where the moon is gaining quarters each night on its way to being full) it does allow for your bud to dry quicker than when if harvested during the waxing phase. i'm gonna post some info i got from some site or another on the subject (sorry i cant remember my souces sometimes) and ya'll can read it and do w/ it what u will. all i know is the 'retarding grass growth' seemed to be bullshit to me, cause i had to mow like 5 times a mo. last summer no matter what fuckin phase of the moon ! lol but i think that had alot to do w/ the unusually high amt. of rain we recieved all spring/summer. so in conclusion i think that mostly the moon has an effect on the wetness/dryness of the bud depending on phase, but as far as anything else, imho i don't think it makes that big of a diff. anyway hers the info i collected last year about it:
How is sowing, transplanting and harvesting linked to phases of the moon? One theory is that during the light (waxing) of the Moon, sap is thought to flow more strongly, filling plants with vitality and energy, favoring the planting and harvesting of crops that mature above ground.
New Moon
During this lunar phase, the moon's gravity has a strong pull on soil moisture, drawing it close to the surface. This increased moisture causes seeds to swell and burst, aiding in germination. Although the moon is not visible, the increasing light creates balanced growth of leaves and roots. This is a good time for planting those crops that produce seeds outside the fruit such as greens (lettuce and spinach), grains, broccoli and cauliflower.
Second Quarter Moon
During the second quarter moon phase, gravity starts to play less of a role, but the increased moonlight creates optimal conditions for leaf growth. This is a good time to plant crops that are harvested above ground, but form seeds inside their fruit (beans, melons, peppers, squash, tomatoes). For a thick, lush lawn, mow grass now to stimulate growth.
Lunar Gardening Basics
Planting a garden based on the cycles of the moon has been practiced as long as humans have been planting food.
Full Moon
During a full moon, the gravitational pull is strong once again (increasing soil moisture), but the decreasing moonlight translates into focusing energy toward root growth. This makes the full moon phase ideal for planting root crops (carrots, onions, potatoes), planting bulbs and transplanting due to increased root growth.
Fourth Quarter Moon
The fourth quarter phase has decreased gravitational pull as well as less moonlight. This phase is the best time for resting and harvesting. Mow grass during this quarter to retard growth.
