When does outdoor flowering begin?

My friend is growing some plants outside and are about 2 months old now, the strains are 5 white rhino from nirvana and 3 of the free thai super skunk. 3 of the white rhino are fem. the rest are still unkown.

Well the website says ready to harvest on the 10th month with an 8 week flower period.. well if my calculations are correct.. flowering should be starting any time now in order to give it an 8 week flower period until october comes around.

Can someone help me out here? because we want to clone the plants before they start budding..

It doesn't matter when you planted it, it's going to flower when the lighting is correct.

umm.. im asking around what time will outdoor lighting be short enough to trigger bloom. i know it doesn't matter when i planted it, just for your own info.

Im expecting flowering to begin early august.. but i read somewhere that outdoor light becomes 12/12 in around september 23. so this got me a bit confused, for a while i thought my plants would have 2 more months of veg.. but that doesent fit with the 8 week flower time so it could be ready by october.

i planted the super skunk april 25. and the White rhino may 1. 3 of the white rhinos already have preflowers and smell like some good shit! skunky lol.

the problem with that is, september 23 is when sunrise sunset is a 12 hour difference.. that is why i was confused in the 1st place.. I then took into account that plants don't know about sunrise and sunset. they go by how much light is available to keep them "awake".. sorry i forgot the word lol.. idk im really new at this. .

Flowering Mid to late August when would one expect to see preflowers? Now Im guessing?

I know, it's weird. Sep 25 it turns 12/12. Indoors you do 12/12 because it's not in its natural eneironment, so we give it "extra" of everything to make up for it. Also because it trigers a faster start to flowering.
They will actually start flowering at around 14 1/2 hrs outside. They should be done sep 25th if you have a 45 or 50 day flowering plant.

I guess, when comparing sunset/rise times, it should be more of an eleven hours difference, since there's practically no light in the first half an hour of a sunrise and the last half an hour of a sunset. That would land you in August, like people said.

I'm in N.E. Ohio and all of mine are budding right now. my avatar is a blueberry which was taken early last week and has quarter size buds as well as my white widow, afghani mazar, g-13 haze, power skunk, #1 skunk, blz bud, and thia skunk. so to answer your question, I guess it depends on where you're at. mine budded early this year and no, they are no autoflowers. been cool this summer and had rained alot earlier this month, so.......
