soiltabs worth it?

they are not very expensive and i know i can germinate in a papertowel, but I just came into 2 seeds that i think are northern lights. I know this is an ok indoor strain but what im really concerned with is this is the only 2 i can get (without ordering online) and i want to give them the best chance naturally.

Now after all that background my question is : Are soiltabs worth it if you can afford them? Or is a paper towel dampened with tapwater really the best way to go regardless of budget?

Just a sidenote- I did search the forums before posting this and was suprised to only see one open thread about this and it was refering to outdoor use.

the search function sucks, there are thousands upon thousands of posts dealing with the paper towel method. It works, use it not the tabs.

I personally have better luck soaking them in water in a warm place for about 24 hours.

You can plant them right down into your soil, has worked every time I've used this method. Those soil starter plugs are awsome! Once you wet them they swell and the seed goes right into the tiny hole and bam 1-3 days later sprouted with tap root comming from the mesh the plug is in. Then into the container they will spend the rest of their life in. This way you never touch the tap root.

This is exactly what i do and I get 100%. You just need to make sure that the plug is staying moist so i keep mine in a mini-greenhouse style thing. Not necessary though.

I've used the paper towel method before and had success germinating, but after I would plant them i would get problems sometimes(probably my own fault, because i don't do well when i make something simple more complicated). Never once had a problem the other way.
