vegging outside vs inside under 400w

i have about 20 fresh seedlings vegging outside. would it be more beneficial for the seedlings to veg outside or inside under a 400w MH . im afriad the light would be too much. plz help

The light outside would be much brighter than using the 400w. But vegging outside could bring bugs inside so take precautions.

well all depends on weather and plus if u put them outside u wouldnt get in much veg time as its best to start in spring if it was me i would go indoors use the 400 mh 4 veg till bout 5 weeks then turn them 2 12/12 and use a hps and also depends on the grow space u got 2 work wiv 20 plants u need a good size vroom 4 that and maybe a bigger lite or a light mover hope this helps if u say wat u got to work wiv indoors im sure i and others can help

i dont think you can get too much light so if you can plant them outside go for it. Get them in direct sunlight and let them grow naturally. But there is the bug issue so you better use some sort of insectiside. But if i were you i would do both just for shits and giggles. and post some pics

alright. last time i put seedlings under this light they seemed like they got to much and they died. + the light was at least 3ft away. but im gonna try again ppl. i have

400w switchable ballast,
5 4ft flouros,
6 rpm light (mover not set up)
20 seedlings
growspace of 6x7'

ill post some pics soon but i guess it would be better to move indoor

Heat and dehydration likely killed those seedlings before, not too much light. Watch your temps and adjust your setup if the need arises.
