Nice to see fellow trance heads here on RIU.

EDC was my first massive and it was one of the best nights of my life. The energy at kinetic field was epic and full of love...

Did anyone catch Kaskade's set? His opening gave me the chills. Best set of the night followed by Benassi and Guetta.

This is a very interesting discussion about all the different substances people preffer to party on. I personally like going "up" so I was rolling and bumping all night at EDC. I've never done acid before but would assume its more of a downer than an upper? Also how well does acid go with progressive trance?

I think its just a new generation that prefers ecstacy and trance rather than acid and rock... oh and MJ of course :)

hehe, nothing goes well with progressive trance.....jk, its not my thing.

acid is definetly not a downer, its a hallucinogen. as mentioned before www.erowid.org can answer any and all questions about illicit substances.

kaskade had a good set, james zambiela before him was way better. although when kaskade was playing that bangin ass techno i was like, "kaskade doesnt play techno.....wait, he is....and its fucking GOOD!!!"

benassi was epic, pretty lights ruined my legs for the rest of the festival(i couldnt stop dancin), and oakenfold totaly blew 2 blends! i couldnt believe it...the man gets $180,000 to spin records for 2 hours and he fucks up twice...i was appauled.

dont associate so-cal with rest of california, all about northern california. Im from california and its the sh1t. Southern Cali is straight bunk.

i never said anything ill about cali. im pretty sure i made it evident that i had a great time....in SoCal.

ever notice socal doesnt give a shit about norcal, but norcal almost always has something to say about socal? i dont care either fucking way, id NEVER move to california...i love chicago.

I am originally from northern california and yes, SlikWill hit it on the button...

There are haters everywhere but I definiately noticed a lot less compared to up north after moving down here.

Love or hate which one do you choose?

the funny part of it is norcal is sopposed to be all the hippies. i think sometimes they get so wrapped up in thier hippieness that they start to think that thier better than everyone else. dont get me wrong, i dont have a problem with hippies for the most part, most of my best friends are newer-wave hippies. but ive witnessed first hand how some of them just think theyre better that others.

that's just a prick then, a real hippie would get along with everybody. I use my self as an example, i don't really dress like one, but wat is with stereotyping anyway? It's a way of life not a fashion line.
You can tell a real hippie is just living life and happy about it. I'm kinda of a nature hippie my-self. There is nothing like taking some shroomz and walking in a forest.

and for the record, we have bomb weed in the rest of the country. we just dont have quite as much and we cant be so open about it.

Acid is the best highs I have ever had. Haven't see it for a long time now. Do any of you think the lsa extract from morning glory or baby woodrose seeds, comes close to acid? I was thinking of trying it. But if it doesn't compare then I wouldn't bother.

i havent tried it, but i know at rothbury the LSA tabs were being called "the bad shit" and "dont eat the white on white"

Lsa is just a more body high then visuals but in higher doses you get LSD visuals. I would really love to find some REAL acid but no one has enough ergot or any of the equipment for the synthisis. But LSA Imo is the next wave of acid that is going to take over, it incredibly hard to get lsd now adays since that huge bust a decade back or more. LSA is just easier to make from hawaiian baby rosewood seeds, with a base wash then alcohol extraction. 5-meo-dmt is a great alternative for the big acid fan. it's not schedualed in the U.S. so you can sell and buy it.
