Obama was born in America. He is a citizen. And you can be born outside of the US and still run for President. McCain was born to a military family abroad. He was still eligible. Also, if both of your parents are citizens and happen to have a kid in another country, you're automatically eligible to run as well.

Actually there is some debate about where Obama was born. Apparently his paternal grandmother has stated that she was at his birth in Mombasi, Kenya, and the hospital in Hawai'i was continuously being changed on various news sites.

The real problem isn't Jus Solis or Jus Sanguinis, but the fact that Obama is still running around refusing to divulge his birth certificate, if such a thing exists.

If your claims on true, then why doesn't he just put the doubts to rest and release it?

It's a big conspiracy. If he keeps the certificate hidden, then tin-hatters can spend all their time chattin' on the internet with each other about it. This distraction keeps the nut jobs busy. According to some of these people, Obama never even went to college either, so the government is just keepin' them boys runnin'.

That's not a birth certificate, that's a Certificate of Live Birth, and it is missing a shit load of information that would put the entire matter to rest, like the actual hospital, time of birth, actual city, province/state, nation, attending physician, so on and so forth.
